Stayed at Forest Lodge with my girlfriend to celebrate her Birthday. In a perfect location with everything you could need. Horses came right up to back gate and hot tub was a real luxury.
Will definitely be going back!
I have to say Forest Lodge is everything it says on the packet. The lodge is clean, full of all the mod cons you could wish for and has a wonderful hot tub. The lodge is a good size and the bedrooms and bathrooms are wonderfully presented and clean. The decking area is lovely but for me the hot tub was the highlight. Like others I had some concerns that there wouldn't be a sink or an oven but it was a great excuse to kick back, relax and not worry about cooking. One evening we visited the old beams pub which was lovely & the second night we had a take away. I am impressed with the owners of this lodge and how quickly they have responded to any queries I have had and would like to thank them for making mine & my partners time away so enjoyable. Also, if any one owns a telescope I would highly recommend taking it along we had some amazing views!
I had booked the lodge for my fiancés 30th birthday, we had a fantastic stay. Great location and close to near by pubs.
The hot tub was a great way to relax after a long walk in the forest, the lodge had some great features and very modern interior.
Lovely lodge with great facilities. Really enjoyed the location as was easy to walk straight in the New Forest and we were close to several great pubs.
Me and my partner had an amazing stay! Was lovely to get away even in the winter. Lovely place to get away for a few days and go and do outdoors stuff. Great cycle place nearby. The bath is amazing! So nice and warm, Along with the fire. Perfect in the winter really warms up the place.
We had a fantastic time. The lodge was as promised, all amenities were as described.
The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable.
Hot tub was fantastic even though it rained, but it was a really enjoyable experience.
Will return in the summer with our children.
I stayed in Forest Lodge with 2 of my girlfriends for a girly weekend at the end of Summer '15. The location was great, close enough to the local towns (by car) but remote enough to enjoy as a quiet retreat. There is a local pub which is about a 25 minute leisurely walk away. The décor was modern and luxurious, the place was spotless when we arrived and the entertainment facilities at the lodge were fabulous, plus on top of this there was a hot tub to enjoy too. The place had two double bedrooms but be warned these are small with one of them bordering on tiny. I can accept why the lodge was designed to get the most out of the space but the place felt cramped at times. Access to the property was odd as you have to walk through the grounds of the neighbouring main house (the lodge is an annex in the grounds). This meant walking through the garden of the house which on one occasion meant us 3 giggling girls having to interrupt a couple enjoying a romantic evening in their hot tub. The lodge is equipped with a kitchen albeit without a sink, which we knew before we booked and was happy to dine out. However it made washing up cups and filling the kettle in the bathroom an inconvenience. It is a lovely lodge but I would rather forfeit the technology for a working kitchen and a larger bedroom.
