“A must see attraction if visiting Portsmouth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 March 2012

The Historic Dockyard is a great "open" museum, showing one of histories most exciting ships. HMS Warrior, which is the first steel ship in the world. Mary Rose and its wrecks. HMS Victory, one of the worlds most important ship and for the the British Empire in particular. This Dockyard is definitely worth seeing, even though its a bit expensive. There is a student discount on request.

“Really Interesting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 February 2012

We didn't have time to do everything that was in the dock we went to look at HMS Victory and got to go inside and look around. There was a lot to see inside the boat a lot of information and audio information being played around the different areas of interest. For somebody who wasn't that bothered about going I found it really interesting and will be going back to complete the tour when we have got more time later in the year as the ticket entitles you to a full years entry into the Dockyard so we can finish what we didn't get to see.

“Nelson & Victory are just the start”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2012

The Royal Navy - projectors of the power of the British Empire for centuries - are on display at Portsmouth Dockyard.

Everything from Henry VIII's Mary Rose and well beyond Nelson's Victory is on show. Really helps your understanding of a key aspect of the British... pride in their sea power.
