We were going to an event at the Wedgewood rooms and it was a cold, wet Sunday night, so didn't want to wander too far for food. This place was close and had good reviews, so we thought we'd try it. Looks a bit tatty but the staff were really welcoming. The menu has too much choice and it was hard to decide as it all looked lovely. I love aubergines and could have chosen several dishes. However, we went for the mixed meze starter and then a couple of dishes and of course, chips! A particular highlight was the swordfish, which was really lovely. Couldn't manage puddings, as we were so full!

Visited the Bodrum restaurant whilst on a short break. The food is amazing! Everything cooked perfectly, very plentiful and service brilliant. Lovely authentic setting. Will definitely return when next in the area.

Having read the reviews we chose the Bodrum for a family celebration, having eaten Turkish food many times previously. When barbecued meat is your signature USP, it should be difficult to get wrong. Sadly, this wasn't the case. The starters were palatable, but the mains courses were poor. The lamb shish passed muster, but the chicken, minced lamb and a further lamb dish were far from what was expected. The chicken resembled reconstituted meat, the minced lamb was very tough and the remaining lamb dish was far from that described on the menu. With ever kebab shop on every street corner doing a fair job of produced well cooked, skewered meat, this restaurant should be far better than it was. Unfortunately a return visit won't be on the cards.

Quirky place, basic and clean. Indoor charcoal grill which smelt amazing, the set menu for one with the 6 cold mezes was superb, it was a starter easy enough for 2 with the olives and lovely warm bread ! Ordered 2 hot mezes before a separate main meal, both the lamb Adana (with set menu) and the stuffed chicken breast were very tasty, especially good to see them being cooked on the grill in front of us. Very reasonable price for 2 meals and a bottle of house wine, brought us a jug of chilled water with ice and lemon without asking or charging for it too. So full couldn't eat the desert that came with the set dinner for 1. The Bodrum dip was exceptionally good. Our only complaint was that there was far too much salt in the food

Having read the reviews I had high expectations for this restaurant but was a little disappointed. Whilst the service was very good and the food well cooked and tasty it wasn’t as good as what we’re used to at the other Turkish restaurant in Albert Road.
