what a pleasure it was to have dinner in this hidden little gem. the service was second to none the waiters and waitresses could not do enough for you. the resturant is clean, vibrant and very welcoming.

the food was delicious. Presented beautifuly, a little more variety perhaps, and maybe a few more options of beer for the men. other than this it was a very enjoyable evening. extremely well priced. i would definately return.

As a first time visitor to Portsmouth I took an interest in several restaurants and read lots of reviews but I warmed to the possibilities of having a relaxed evening in an un pretentious one and Kitsch'n d'Or delivered on all levels. They gave us a warm welcome, we couldn't fault the service, the food was excellent as was the the wine. Value for money is superb (I've paid a lot more for far less in the past both in quantity and quality).

Combined with a stay at The Clarence our overnight trip was a huge success - hats off to Portsmouth we will be back!

I recently had the pleasure of bringing my mum here for Mothers day. She enjoys French cuisine and culture in general so I was hoping for a largely authentic experience.

We were not dissapointed. The food came in large, affordable, delicious portions. Contrary to a previous report, the seabass was cooked to perfection.

Staff were friendly and attentive, even as the restaurant began to fill up.

Really the only downside I would point out is that we were requested to hold on to our knife and fork for starter and main. Although this really wasnt much of an issue!

The bistros appearence from the outside could also be improved dramatically.

However none of these issues should stop you booking a table.....immediately!

Lovely food, well priced, in nice calm surroundings. It's great when there is jazz.
