We chose this venue to host a baby shower because of its stylish interior and the cream tea it had to offer at great value for money. All produce is local with the option of vegan and gluten free.

Victoria the owner accommodated for our every want and need. Great day had by all!

Popped in for breakfast. Home made bubble and squeak and free range eggs, great local sausages and bacon...all yummy. Coffee good too.

The sausages were so good we asked the waitress where they got them and we went to o'briens to get some!!

They've made the cafe look great and have a garden area too at the back. Cakes looked delicious.

Will definitely try for dinner as menu's looked good.

Wish Deal had something like this!

Went on a Friday night with friends. A walm welcome awaits visitors, nothing is too much trouble, the food is of a very high standard as is the service, and the food is cooked in sight. There is a outdoor area to the rear of the premises that will be a delight when the weather walms up a bit. Well worth a visit and we will return.

My family arrived here for a Mothers day dinner. Two of my daughters are vegan and vegetarian. We ordered our meals, the starters were nice but the main meal was something entirely different. The vegetables served were cold and the cauliflower was raw. My son had a plate of roast potatoes as he wasn't particularly hungry when they came they were hardly roasted and cold. I got charged £5 for 13 quarters of cold potato not happy. The sweets were okayish albeit the vegan chocolate cake was very dry. All in all the meal cost us £84 pound for what I thought was not very good quality food. As it was a special occasion we left feeling cheated. I appreciate it was a very long day for the staff and we were one of the last bookings but we did feel rushed and a member of staff was mopping the floor whilst we were still eating. We won't be visiting again.

After hearing good things locally we finally visited The Allotment last night for dinner and were not disappointed! Great variety on the menu, cooked fabulously and there is a fantastic atmosphere. Really pleasant surroundings and fantastic service too - we'll definitely be back! Looking forward to the warmer weather as they have a lovely courtyard out the back also so will be great for a summer lunch :) Our party of 3 had two courses each plus drinks and it came in under £80 so on top of everything else, very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
