There is never anyone at reception, and I got stuck one evening around 8pm when my door card had stopped working, and I could not find any staff members to help me. They had a 'call this number' on the front desk, so I tried that but it wouldn't ring through at all. So I began to try knocking on the kitchen door, and on the bar area and I knocked and called for someone at the main desk. I am Autistic and I began to feel panicked that I was stuck, so I called my Dad for help and asked him to call the number for me in case it worked for him, at which point a staff member appeared and went 'was that you making all that noise?' and I said 'Yes sorry I was trying to get some help as my card has stopped working and I've been stuck in reception for awhile.' and she walked off and said in a dismissive and rude tone 'alright, alright'. She reactivated my card, and continued to be very rude and dismissive. I was nothing but polite to the staff, and I would've only come across as a little panicked when she first appeared - not enough to warrant that reaction or behaviour. And throughout my stay, whenever I came or left the building there were multiple times that guests were stood at the front desk shouting 'Hello? excuse me?' trying to find someone or attempting to call the number that didn't work.
The room itself wasn't in the best state - all the light switches were dirty, which was solved by dettol wipes that I tour with, so it wasn't a difficult job for house keeping to keep on top of. The water throughout the whole building isn't up to standard - the showers go from scorching hot to cold on repeat, which I thought was just my room but after talking to colleagues in other rooms it became apparent we all had this issue. On a couple of occasions I came out of the shower with a heat rash where the water had suddenly changed to boiling hot and I couldn't jump out in time. It was a panful experience showering everyday.
