We were very impressed with this Holiday Inn. It was a little bit difficult to get to because of all the road works, but the yellow signs helped along with sat nav. When checking in, the lady on the desk was lovely. She asked what we were here for and, when we told her, she gave us a city centre map and marked on places of interest. This was very reliable the next day when out exploring.
Our room was lovely and had a view over the marina, which is what we booked.
We had dinner in the restaurant and all the staff were very good (Bailey, Kai & Andres I think). The food was delicious and very well presented. The wine offer was good and we took advantage of this.
Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. No boiling water for tea though, just hot water from the coffee machines. Not acceptable for a good cup of tea. The second morning, my husband asked for a pot of tea and the woman in charge at the time was a bit sarcastic to him. All he wants is a proper cup of tea with breakfast.
We had a lovely stay, and enjoyed exploring the Old Town of Hull.
The only thing that would make it better (other than the tea) is the showers need updating. The head of the shower was too low and we had to stoop to get under it.
