The hotel is in the heart of the city centre, with very welcoming staff and average rooms.
The bed in our room was very comfortable and spacious, yet there was noise in the corridors by a door separating the different parts of the floor and some of the hotel's nightime guests.
The fact that we had free parking for the whole weekend was a big asset.
The furniture and rail in the shower were worn out and although the whole room was very clean all in all, it did put you off.
Breakfast was at £5.00 and we managed to get a portion just before everything finished from the buffet and it never got refilled. The sausages, bacon, beans and mushrooms were served in a reheated tray which was kept warm by two candles underneath....this meant that parts of the food weren't even warm when we ate and I ended up eating butter and jam on toast which was on great offer on the buffet.
I'd love to say good value for money but it was obvious that the place needs a good refurbishment.More
