We had a really nice meal with friends at lunch time in this very warm and friendly pub
A good selection of beers wines and spirits. Teas, coffee or soft drinks for those not wanting alcohol and staff was quite happy to give us tap water with ice and lemon no charge
The food at first glance looked pricey but was of a good quality and freshly made and everybody was very happy with their selection and all was full of praise for their meal
There was five of us and two dogs which the dogs was also welcome in the pub
The pub is just off the main road and you have the river Hull running along side with a canal just a little further on by foot
A nice walk along the river to the lake with open farm land on both sides and Beverly Minster in the distance
I would guess that in holiday times and when the weather is good the pub would be packed
However when we went it was comfortable
I would thoroughly recommend this pub for food and drinks and is in a beautiful spot to enjoy the surroundings

A traditional pub that serves good meals and good beers. Friendly staff, cosy real fires. There was a good atmosphere in there the Saturday night we were in. We were made to feel welcome by staff and locals alike.

As a frequent visitor to the crown and anchor we have never been disappointed with either the food or the standard of service.
Not the most adventurous menu but everything is freshly cooked, the steak n ale pie is fab never had a disappointed visit yet.
Fab views over the Humber, outside seating area for those with dogs, plenty of car parking space.
Well worth travelling to for home-cooked fresh food and drinks.
