Firstly, it's sad to see people rate an eating establishment on the fact they don't allow their children in. There are plenty of child-friendly places to eat in the local area and although you may think your offspring deserve to go where they want and do as they wish, your rating doesn't help anyone who is looking to visit the restaurant. The restaurant isn't really suitable for young children - that was obvious to see when we visited. We almost didn't visit as we saw a few negative ratings - but we were glad we did in the end as it was a great meal.

Anyway... on to the review:

Visited here on a weekday lunchtime and enjoyed probably the best Ramen I've ever had - it was fantastic.

The sushi itself was also enjoyable and the cocktails were nicely crafted too.

If you want an authentic Japanese dining experience, which was a surprise to see near the shores of Windermere (!) then definitely visit Wabi Sabi.

We visited this restaurant as we heard the food was great and we wanted to eat and relax. The sushi, tempura and ramen was excellent, the mood relaxing and the staff as mentioned in previous reviews, very knowledgeable and helpful. For those who enjoy an evening out with their partners or friends, I would recommend. Obviously the restaurant has received the some criticism over their policy on children however in today's society where children are in charge and it is not uncommon to have your evening spoiled by kids running around screaming with the adults completely oblivious, I can understand. This Japanese clearly wants their customers to enjoy the experience and food and we did. Thank you.

This is a tiny little Japanese restaurant that hand prepares all its meals to order and therefore takes longer than your average meal time. We were prepared for this as the lovely waitress kept us fully informed.
Most of us had the Ramen which were delicious and offered free refills. I had the marinated cod ramen and I can safely say it was the most delicious cod that I have ever tasted - beautifully cooked with a delicate flavour due to the marinating process. The sushi platter was beautifully presented and very tasty using a variety of fresh fish. The waitress was very friendly and took time to explain to us how things had been prepared. Not a cheap restaurant, but worth the money. Very calming atmosphere due to the use of wood and relaxing music. Would definitely recommend - maybe for adults given some of the other reviews. If you have a group bigger than about 4 you may have to sit at separate tables. Wasn't a problem for our group of 7 as the teenagers were happy to sit together and leave the adults to have a more relaxing experience!!

I would have loved to have been able to write a positive review of the food here but I have not had the chance. Our request for a table was refused. We are a party of 6 people comprising of 3 adults and 3 teenagers. They would not give us a table because one of our teens is under the age of 16 and because we asked for a table for 6. They said they can only accept groups of up to 5 people. We said we would be happy with two tables with 3 settings at each and they replied that it would only be OK if we arrived at half hour intervals.
