First visit with hubby for tapas. The background music just right and created relaxed atmosphere on a quiet night. Staff were friendly and informative. Most of the dishes were gluten free, which was a big plus for my husband being coeliac. You could watch the preparation by the excellent chef. Food was fantastic. 5 dishes between two of us was ample. I had one quibble that they had gone cold by the time we neared the end. The waitress suggested next time we ordered our dishes in dribs and drabs - which we will do. Was a bit pricey, but was so gorgeous we will be going again. Can recommend the coffee too...oh and they do lots of cocktails..

(Reviewed as a veggie, as always) As we sat we were told that this was the first time the new menu was being used! Absolutely blown away by the food, they did such a great job. All very fresh and very tasty, wonderful vegetarian combinations with plenty of choice. The service was warm and friendly and there was a relaxed atmosphere in the pleasantly dimly lit bar.
The new menu has been rolled out and I was a little disapointed to see that a few of the prices have jumped up (menu on their site is, at this moment, still the old one ;) ). Individual dishes used to cost £3.95, which was spot on, and the deal was £35 for 10: now individual dishes have jumped to £4.50 (which I would be little miffed at paying if I had purchased the sweet potato cakes on their own). The 10 deal is now £39.50, which makes all the meals.....£3.95 (which is spot on) - but of course that means If you don't get the deal, *dependent on what dishes you get* you might feel a little overcharged. ie: if I had paid £4.50 and recived just the Sweet Potato cakes which aren't that big (see picture) I might feel a little more annoyed than had I bought them at £3.95. Their prices were pefect before so its a massive shame they've bumped them.
Prices aside the food IS fantastic and we will certainly be back again; though prices wise, maybe once or twice a year tops, as opposed to the four or more times which I would have prefered. If you take anything from this review let it be that last sentence.

We've visited Acebo on several occasions and will most definitely visit again. The food is obviously the stand out feature, varied menu choices, excellent ingredients, amazing flavours and fantastically prepared. But we also enjoy the atmosphere and choice of wine/drinks, the Acebo team make you feel really welcome and are very helpful. Tapas can often be a let down but Acebo lounge have got all the ingredients just right for a fantastic all round eating experience.
