“Fantastic”
Reviewed January 15, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

My husband, dog and myself stayed at this accommodation for one week. Excellent value for money! We stayed here as it was extremely close to Kendal. There were enough rooms for when my children came to visit me (and my new grandson). It is on the doorstep to the Lake District, so many activities to choose from. The accommodation has all the equipment you would require and an extra bonus of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and even biscuits is available on arrival. My four legged son loved it as well! Will certainly be back. Thank you to the owners for a lovely clean, well organized and conveniently situated house with stunning views.

“Perfect retreat in the Lake District”
Reviewed October 17, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Wonderful cottage fully equipped with all you could want or hope for. Set in a quiet but central situation for all attractions Yaffles had wonderful views and activities to keep all of the family occupied on return to the cottage at the end of the day.
The presence of tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits with a welcome note was a welcoming start to a wonderful weeks vacation. In addition the cottage was dog friendly making it a break for all the family. I have already recommended this cottage to friends!!

“Great, Peaceful, makes you feel good.............”
Reviewed October 10, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Stayed for 3 weeks with 6 month old twins. The idilic position of the cottage meant we were all stress free which in turn helped the little ones settle and get over the jet lag from asia. The Cottage is large and fully equipped, everything you would need. I grew up in Kendal so know the area very well. However we loved the cottage. It is so close to my family and friends. We were extremely lucky to get 2 1/2 weeks of sunshine. I am booking another three weeks in june next year.

“What an ideal place to take the family for a week in the Lakes”
Reviewed October 5, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Enjoyed by all. The bungalow was very good, safe and secure for the children and dog .Overlooking the railway ( little noise to speak of ) .Ideally situated for the pub down the hill .Kendal and supermarket within 3/4 miles. The garden furniture for the children was ideal .Parking for three cars no problem . Two shower rooms a bonus .Lovely aspect in the evening with the setting sun.

“Amazing!”

We stayed at Yaffles at the end of August. there were 7 of us, 6 adults and 1 teenager and 2 German Shepherd Dogs. We were worried it may have been to small for us all but as soon as we walked in we were put at ease. The cottage was amazing spacious and well decorated. The views were jaw dropping and the neighbours very friendly (well the field full of young bulls who liked to be scratched on the head!!). We were also grateful for the Coffee and Milk we found on our arrival as we had got stuck in traffic and after a 7 hour drive it was most welcoming!
The cottage was well situated down a single track lane but with easy access to Kendal and the Lakes. Asda was a 5 minute drive down the road and the Punch Bowl pub was a short walk down the lane and would recommend a visit as the food was amazing and we were made to feel welcome and came second in the quiz they have every Monday night.
Would highly recommend anyone to stay at this jewel in the Lakes.

“Great house, Good Location”
Reviewed August 20, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We really enjoyed our stay at Yaffles. The house itself is well-equipped and comfortable and we all enjoyed playing swingball in the back garden.
The location is great - secluded yet close to amenities in Kendal, and only a short drive into the Lakes of the Yorkshire Dales. The lack of light from surrounding towns meant we had a great view of the August meteor shower in the early hours of the morning.

“Unwind and recharge”
Reviewed June 25, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The cottage was clean with easy access for the more less able and as lovely views. Our mums spent all the time in they were in the cottage sitting in the bay looking out watching the cows, sheep and local wildlife. A quiet place to be. The garden allowed us the space to play with the dogs with The Helm is within walking distance to give them a good walk and exercise them.
Yes we we return soon.
