Stayed 2 nights in Room 2. Large room with great views, plenty of light but has potential to get warm in the afternoons due to the sun shining into the room. Very close to restaurants and shopping.
Also, not really an problem but like many places in Keswick, the LakeSide House does not have air conditioning. WIndows all open but being that Room 2 is on a corner, the pedestrian noise was an issue at night for brief periods of time. Nothing terrible but if you are a light sleeper, it could wake you up.
The bed was comfortable, The furniture was made for relaxing and enjoying the views out the windows!!
Did not take breakfast in the hotel but it looked good.
Needed ice one night for drinks in the room but could not find any one to help at the desk and did not feel comfortable going into the kitchen that was closed for the evening.
The empty desk was my only real complaint. Was visiting over a weekend and at most times, there was no one around.
Would I stay at the Lakeside again? YES. The house is lovely, the rooms clean, and the location is fantastic!More
