This is by far one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The workers were amazing. They were incredibly helpful and kind. We were just in awe of how nice they were. The breakfast they offered was amazing! They had different breakfast options you could choose from each morning. They do not have ac here but the temperature in the Lake District is nice at night so it wasn’t necessary. My only complaint which isn’t too big of a deal was there wasn’t a phone available if we needed to get in contact with the staff, etc. We didn’t have phone service b/c we were from out of the country. Wifi was fast though. Overall, I would love to stay here again if we ever return to the Lake District.

We stayed 4 nights in a Premium Lux room for £165 per night including a full English breakfast. This has been one of the more expensive places in our trip but it has also been the best. But then we expect that given the price. The well appointed bedroom was large as was the bathroom (including separate bath and large shower). There was a clothes cupboard big enough for luggage and hanging clothes above. There was also a neat little alcove for tea making facilities. We enjoyed late afternoons relaxing in comfy chairs overlooking parklands. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was superb. They catered for one of us being vegetarian as well. The selection of hot foods from a set menu was good. There were also quality cereals, muesli, fresh fruits, teas, coffees, etc. Staff were courteous and the hostess open and friendly but also very busy.... which is to be expected in such a well run operation. The only issue we had was a slow shower drainage but it did not really affect us. Being in the centre of town parking is tight but we had a parking permit included in the rate for the council car park just around the corner. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to our friends. There are also less expensive and smaller rooms available.

We have been visiting The Lakeside House for the last 8 years . Sometimes more than once a year. Lynsey & Peter and their lovely team always greet everyone with a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble . We would never consider staying anywhere else . It is faultless. The rooms all of which are of exceptionally high standard. Show no sign of wear even after 8 years .quality everything. including toiletries and all the other little extras incl bottled water which is readily available from the fridge . Breakfast is exceptional with a wonderful choice of locally sourced produce, Speciality coffees and every type of fruit on offer. It really is a very special place in a great location Thanks again Denise & Paul x

Room Tip: Room 4 is our favorite great views

Great stay at a lovely b&b near to both the town and the beautiful Derwentwater. Very comfortable clean contemporary rooms. Delicious breakfast and a very warm welcome..... we will definitely stay at this gem in the middle (though the location is still quiet) if Keswick again....

Visited the Lakeside House with my wife for a 3 night break to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We had an absolutely brilliant stay and were made to feel so welcome by Lindsey and the team who are all brilliant! Superbly clean and comfortable room and a top notch breakfast with the best black pudding ever :-) we will certainly be back when we return to Keswick!
