This busy little street descends steeply to the shores of Windermere and visitors will find a variety of gift and clothing shops, restaurants and cafes.

Windermere is only small so its doesnt take long to visit its shops . Many privately owned which makes a nice change from the large multiples elsewhere

I visited the village early in the morning , it was lovely and quiet . It’s a interesting place of some small independent shops. The architect is also interesting , a lovely village of a lot of traditionally constructed cottages, very picturesque. I would re visit when I’m in area .

Some lovely interesting shops up & down the high street.
Some excellent places for a coffee & or lunch & or dinner.
You can park on the road if your lucky enough to find a space, there are some car parks but expect to pay £1.50 per hour.
