It was a little while I stayed here with my Fiancee but service standards and attention to detail was first class

Will return in the new year for a relaxing break

Staff cannot do enough for you situated half way between the village and the lake is ideal to sight see, take in the village and locals.

Rooms are modern bright and home from home with sophistication.

Warm both in temperature and staff who ensure a pleasant stay to help you relax.

many thanks

Room tip: Upgrade to the luxury rooms well worth the stay.

Was very pleased with our room very spacious, really friendly staff and very helpful
Breakfast was amazing, really good portions and the quality was superb. Most definitely would stay there again, i think its a great deal for the money, located between Windermere town and Bowness so was literally about 10 mins walk to find restaurants/pubs

From the very beginning of our stay here when Penny took a considerable amount of time to give us hints and tips regarding what to do in the area and where to eat, we knew we had found a B&B worth every penny with friendliness and hospitality above and beyond what I have experienced in many other places. There is also a hefty folder full of inspiration of walks, lakes and activities in your room.

The breakfast selection is beyond amazing - fresh, hot cooked breakfasts to order from a menu with everything from a continental, to crumpets to eggs benedict and new combos such as chilli toast and meat and haloumi kebabs.

The location is also second-to-none, being inbetween Windermere and Bowness. The lake is around 10-15 mins walk (if that) downhill and both Windermere and Bowness are adorable country towns within easy driving distance to other Lake District gems such as Ambleside, Grassmere and Hawkshead (to name a few).

The bed was amazing - like sleeping on a cloud. The towels had been folded into the shape of swans, the bathroom and bedroom were extremely clean and our room was cleaned/made-up every day of our very short 2 night stay which was a nice surprise (along with chocolates on our pillows).

The downsides (of which there are very few) - we arrived of an evening and the hotel sign was not lit up (I have since been informed it had not been turned on) but it did make finding the place a little trickier than needs be and the shower was quite small (but perfectly adequate).

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Look no further - stay here - you won't regret it!!!

Our room was extremely clean, very well-equipped and thoughtfully personalised to our needs. Any requests made were dealt with immediately and with excellent customer service.

We were well looked after by all the staff. They were thoughtful and considerate; the owner Rich, Lisa, Kerri, Penny, Adele and Natalie. They were all kind and attentive but not overbearing. They made an effort to know us by name, a really nice touch.

Breakfast was delicious. Massive choice and all brilliantly cooked, really tasty. The cold buffet was extensive, including cereals, cheeses, yogurts and fresh fruit salad. Generous pots of tea and bottomless coffee cups topped it all off perfectly.

Parking was easy, toiletries were quality, free WiFi and we stayed two nights so were able to make use of the spa facilities which were close-by, lovely and in a beautiful setting.

There is an attention to detail in everything. The B&B was above and beyond any expectations I had. A perfect combination of great staff, high standards and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend a stay here.
