Well were do i start ;o) Upon arrival we got quite a warm welcome ;o) an even though my friend had checked it out on trip advisor and seen a lot of bad comments (which i would have prefered that she had'nt told me). I feel that some people expect a lot more for the money and therefore leave negative feedback (not usually the moaning types generally)!!!!!!! In all fairness the entertainment on sunday night was by far the best i have seen in ages (and even our neighbours agreed - well some of them). generally speaking people were very friendly towards us (especially our next door neighbours). If your looking for a dirty wkend then this place certainly as the theme to go with it (i.e. the windows) but so what if the windows were'nt washed it just mean's you don't have to close the curtain whilst getting undressed etc lol. The breakfast was just what the doctor ordered on the sunday morning (ok it was'nt as good as my home style fry up) but nether the less it was included in the price we paid for accomondation. I don't know if this hotel is family orientated as i do not have children (but i can say that the children that i seen were very impressed with my Humpa Lumpa friend (as was i) ;o) my advise to all is think about the price you are paying for this place (seriously you aint gonna get NO castle!!!!!!! ;o) Peace

I was very worried about going to this hotel after reading reviews, but we have just got back and had a wonderful time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was lovely , the only problem we had with the pool was the childrens pool was closed.
The hotel was clean, a little dated but no different than any other english resort hotel. We didnt have bath towels when we arrived but as soon as we told them we got them.
We went with our 5 month old baby, and it was perfect. A hotel where it was friendly for children, even at mealtimes. The Entertaiment wasn't great but with a baby we were going to the room by 9pm. For children the entertainment was good.
The bar was very busy, and at one point only two members of bar staff so a massive que.
The location wasn't great but we had our car and Blackpool car parks were cheap, also trams were running.

We thought for the money we paid for it, it was great.

We paid national travel £59. this included transport from Leeds, bed, breakfast and evening meal in the hotel and £20 ticket for Des O'Connor (no comments pls!!) The evening before we went I read reviews and hardly slept. Massive hotel. Booked twin room got double. Checked bed linnen with fine tooth comb. Fine and clean. Lovely fluffy towels. Evening meal and breakfast was fine (more than I can say for Des O'Connor). Only down side was when we got back into the hotel after the show, there were empty pizza boxes, crisp packets and empty cans all over the reception area. Loads of young kids - some in pyjamas - crawling all over the floor, and a load of young lads hanging about the lifts - Oh yes the lift. Was not working when we got there. Old folks could not get to their rooms. One fell down the steps, we thought another was having a heart attack.
While waiting for the coach to take us home the coffee table tops in the lounge had sticky beer - pop - remains all over them. This hotel should employ more cleaners, but all in all for £59 not bad.

We booked this at the last minute and we felt it was a real bargain.
The staff were very nice and they all spoke English.
The hotel looked a bit tired but it was clean and the food was good particularly the breakfast.
The kids loved the pool area.
The nightly entertainment was an added bonus.
All in all agreat family break.
