A colleague and I had the unfortunate luck to stay here for a work conference. The hotel is very dated. The whole place stank, the downstairs bar smelt of mens urine. I did not have anything hot to eat from this hotel when we stayed there as my friend was ill soon after we had eaten from the buffett lunch provided. I dont know how this is a four star hotel. My bedroom was cold and my bathroom bin had not been emptied from the previous occupyier. The bedroom needed a good hoover. I would not wish to return or recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel may look nice on the outside and in the lounge but the rooms are terrible. They are not child friendly at all. There was wires hanging down, cracks all over the place, stains on the bed sheets an carpet and it smelt terrible. The breakfast tasted horrid and looked like a load of slop that was half cooked. I do not recommend this to anyone.

Not welcoming at reception and again when leaving completely disinterested. So not the best of starts. The hotel is very tired and needs serious refurbishing. The room was ok but I have to say the Hilton up the road is better and their staff are lovely and friendly. I was foolish because I thought this would be the better of the two but I was so wrong!! My door was being hammered on at 9.23 am when check out time is 11am I thought I would relax before a hard days work ahead and a 5 1/2 hour drive back home but no, I left within 10 minutes as I then felt under pressure so the ladies could get on with their day. :-( I would definitely not stay here again.

Room Tip: Don't bother

I stayed at the hotel whilst attending a band contest at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool and found the hotel to be far superior to any hotel in Blackpool that I had previously stayed in. The staff were incredibly friendly, the hotel was clean and tidy, and excellent value for money. A real bonus was the excellent selection of single malt whiskeys held behind the bar.

The room was very spacious with a decent size TV and huge bathroom, I really enjoyed my shower in the morning, there was more than enough hot water, and breakfast was of a very high quality.

Next time I'm in Blackpool I know where I'll be staying

Visited on business mid week.
Reception staff disinterested at check in.
Bedroom and bathroom both small and dark.
Damp around the window frame and glazing.
Wardrobe door hinges broken.
No iron.
No hotel information pack.
Décor very tired.

According to reception staff all standard rooms are of the same quality as 342 - their only interest was in selling an upgrade to premium for an extra £20. Am not sure what’s happened to northern hospitality.

If you’re still set on braving the Imperial experience and want to eat in, make sure you reserve a slot in their restaurant in advance. They only just managed to squeeze me in, despite the dining room being three quarters empty!

I’ve warned my colleagues to avoid and would strongly advise you to do the same…

Stayed in the Imperial with my boyfriend for two nights.
Firstly got the spring sale rooms where they where not much more than the tacky B&Bs charge!

Reception staff where very polite an helpful when needed.

Rooms where gorgeous very comfortable bathroom spacious!

Leisure facilities used swimming pool, sauna, steam room, well worth going down to have a relax.

Breakfast buffet a choice for everyone, from full English to fruit and yogurt.

Overall a very good stay an would return, location excellent as new trams and buses frequent!
