Watermead is a day day out for the dog walkers, runners, cyclist's. There are plenty of entry points around Leicester and most car parks are free. Dogs are fine to be let off the leads. In the summer they have designated BBQ areas, also has ice cream vans in the car parks to cool you down on those Hot days.

A fantastic place to go to see some wetland birds. I hope this area will be allowed to mature and develop to provide this precious habitat for the birds

nice place to cycle and nice wild life, nice place to cycle, lots of path ways, lots of wildlife to look at, take your camera, you should be able to leave with loads of nice pictures of the wildlife there, can get busy during the summer
