Very disappointed. Staff uninterested they almost seem so used to complainers. Worst night of sleep ever as the bed was rock hard. I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and this hotel has the worst beds. No apologies this morning just a smarmy remark from the receptionist. Parking a total stress. The Marco Pierre White restaurant was not as expected. Dirty salt and pepper pots, dirty water jug, slip cloths on the wrong way and the menu is utterly boring. I wouldn’t want my good name attached to this restaurant.

Dear Ardmore18,
Please accept my sincere apologies that this experience did not meet with your expectation.
I appreciate that your review is your personal opinion of the experience you had, but this does go against the reviews we have been receiving both for the hotel and indeed Marcos restaurant. Of course all reviews are discussed and if we can make a difference for the future then we strive to make the necessary changes and support our team in doing so.
With kind regards
Jonathan

Stayed for 5 nights to explore historic Lincoln. Locating the hotel car park was a challenge, head to the water at the bottom of Lucy Tower street and turn right. It's not obvious! But once there it's a top rate Doubletree and exceeded our expectations all round. Catherine and Jade on reception helped us with places to visit. The 5th floor Electric Bar is a highlight, and the views from the Marco Pierre restaurant are great, cathedral one way, and marina the other. Great service from the restaurant staff, interested in what you are doing for the day, but not intrusive. Special mention to Dawn and the two Chloes for sorting out my wife's gluten free diet needs. Within 10 minutes walk of historic Lincoln, uphill though! But worth the walk. Enjoyed the hotel so much, a return visit is to be looked forward to. Good position on the marina which is worth exploring too. Will be back.

We stayed en route home from two funeral services to mark the sudden death of my brother from which we were in quite an emotional state, before we returned home to continue working in our very busy arboricultural company
We couldn't fit our Land Rover in the car park even though there were spaces and ended up in the nearby multi storey which although a very good 24 hour price (£8) was also a very tight fit to get most cars in it appeared.
However we arrived and were warmly greated with warm chocolate cookies and a very helpful member of staff.
We went to our room where we were very pleasantly surprised by the facilities and the cleanliness.
We used the Marco Pierre White restaurant for dinner where we enjoyed sumptuous Chateauxbriand and other dishes. Our Waitress - Ashley - was superb. The views were wonderful. The river at the front and the lit up cathedral at the rear.
We returned for a very good night's sleep (a rarity in a hotel for us) and can highly recommend the pillows!!
Breakfast back in the Marco Pierre White restaurant was absolutely brilliant. The quality, the quantity, the range - were all wonderful
We found nothing to complain about - which was wonderful and would most definitely stay there again if we needed to stop in Lincoln
In short a lovely relaxed tranquil moment in the midst of a very busy chaotic life!!

Room tip: Don't stay on 4th floor as apparently the noise of the restaurant comes through

This is a typical Doubletree with nicely decorated rooms. Good location but not easy to find by car - have to drive along a pedestrianised area to get to the car park which is not signposted but sat nav took us down there. Low in height car park with small spaces. The restaurant and bar staff are very professional and friendly. The food is excellent at both dinner and breakfast

This is a good hotel well located and offers great value for the quality of the room v's the price paid. Rooms are a good size and nicely appointed. Cocktail bar is good and has views down the river and offers two drinks for £10 (at least when we were there) We didn't have breakfast in as we prefer a light breakfast but there are cafe's and restaurants near buy. Parking is a bit expensive at £12 a day but convenient, watch out as access is along the river walk and looks like its pedestrian only but is isn't. Al in all a very pleasant stay, would stay again.
