I had a delicious Sunday morning breakfast. Fast and friendly service. Poached egg and avocado on a bagel with crispy bacon. Very tasty and good quality bacon and perfectly cooked poached eggs.

What a delicious Afternoon Tea! About 30 members of Sefton WI had a wonderful time. The sandwiches were full of flavour and beautifully fresh. The variety of cakes included homemade meringues, brownies, victoria sponge cake, fruit tartlets, scones with jam and cream and the best treat of all - chocolate dipped strawberries! Coffee and tea were constantly replenished throughout the afternoon by a very pleasant and friendly staff member. Gluten free afternoon tea was also a big hit. Nothing was too much trouble for Michele and her staff. There were lots of positive comments from our members. Would certainly recommend the Pioneer Afternoon Tea for a group or party.

I’ve been here many times for breakfast, brunch, tapas, meals in the restaurant and just for a few drinks with friends, over the years.
I’d say overall though that the Sunday roasts are the best around with great choice and service.
Try it for yourselves you won’t be disappointed.
Keep it up folks

Visited here on Saturday, part a group of 13 after a funeral. Saturday is a bit of an odd day for a funeral so the venue was quite busy. This meant we were sitting amongst the rest of the customers and not in our own area, but that was okay.

We ate from a three course set menu which had good choice. I went for the Bury Black Pudding starter followed by Fish & Chips. The presentation of all the food that came out was absolutely stunning and the quality was an equal match. The house wine was also great with a Merlot or Shiraz on offer. There is no desert choice on the set menu, but it comes as a platter of three small deserts per person. Again these were beautifully presented and very tasty.

The staff were friendly, helpful and available, but no hard sell on drinks or anything like that that was refreshing.

All in all this was a lovely place to eat and I will definitely be back under better circumstances.
