“Clean, comfortable and cosy”
Reviewed November 18, 2017 for a stay in November 2017

Central to our needs, having family in and around liverpool it was ideal. Beds were lovely and comfortable, kitchen had everything you would need. Central heating was great especially as it was quite cold outside. Jackie was very accommodating and ensured all our needs were met. Would definitely stay again.

“Ideal for our family's visit”
Reviewed October 29, 2017 for a stay in October 2017

The triplex was great, it had everything we required for our visit. We planned our trip to visit relatives nearby and have a short holiday. We found everything we needed in the apartment. The local transport links and nearby amenities meant our stay ran smoothly and we enjoyed our time in Liverpool.

“Good location and value for money”
Reviewed July 24, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

The apartment was easy to find and there were no problems upon arrival. The flat is in a good, quiet location. It's a short walk to supermarkets and a couple of pubs, and is just a short car journey from the centre of Liverpool.
It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay and would consider using the apartment again.

“Pleasant stay, but I could have been better”
Reviewed August 9, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We stayed at the house for 1 week (from July 30th to august 6th). We were a family group of 5 adults (4 spanish and 1 british who used to live in Liverpool years ago).

House is very spacious and slept the five of us quite comfortably. We were unfortunate to have the boiler break on the second day leaving us without hot water in our apartment for the remainder of the trip. Jackie was very helpful in this regard and allowed us use of the other apartments shower although when we arrived the boiler was already dripping water all over the kitchen so if it was a common or known problem we don't know.

The rooms are big and furnished to a nice extent, although the entire apartment could do with some TLC (Tender Loving Care) as throughout all the rooms there's paint peeling in places and the floorboards felt loose and uneven in the corridors and they creaked as you walked over them. It is also a shame that the view of the back garden is just an overgrown lawn with an old bath tub in the corner.

The house is situated in a good place for the city centre if you do not want to be so central, however we have to be honest and say the surrounding neighbourhood is not exactly the greatest taste of Liverpool as it's fairly worn down and pretty much contains only fast food restaurants and the usual supermarkets a small walk away. This is obviously not the owners fault but as someone who has lived in Liverpool, the old Liverpool and new Liverpool are vastly different these days as you can even see even in the centre.

Travelling in to the centre of Liverpool is very easy with lots of buses and taxis passing. On average it cost us £7 via taxi and via the bus because we were 5 was more expensive at about £4.20 return each.

Overall our stay was enjoyable – the boiler problem was sightly annoying but Jackie did try and get the insurance to get it fixed asap with the alternative of using the flat downstairs which wasn't much bother. So our gratitude to her for the stay and with the various pamphlets and guides she had laid out with information about shops and things to do.

Hi, and thanks for your honest review. The boiler was finally fixed on Friday. There has been a similar fault recently which was fixed, but I suspect not correctly. I was relieved I could at least offer you the other bathroom to use.
You will be glad to know I already have a decorator booked to repaint the whole flat in late September and am in the process of having the garden re landscaped. If you decide to give us another try next time you are in Liverpool I will offer you a free additional night as a courtesy.

The house was great. All of the facility are in good condition and cooking ware are enough to cook all of the food we want to cook. The heating system worked well. Jackie is very nice. Moreover, the house has a very friendly price and it is very near to Liverpool city centre which I can go there by bus just about 20 minutes.

Whether it be a family trip to liverpool, or as we did, a groupe of friends having fun, this place was perfect. Spacious, practical, and an 8 pound taxi drive into town - we had a great time.

“Clean, comfortable, Spacious apartment, perfect for groups of friends, couples or a family.”
Reviewed December 10, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

I stayed here with my boyfriend and another couple, (all late teens/ early twenties) and the apartment was pretty much perfect for what we needed. The rooms are spacious, the three double rooms sleep 6 happily, and the separate floors mean you don't feel on top of each other. The beds were made when we arrived, everything was clean, and I was delighted to find the kitchen stocked with essentials; tea and coffee, cleaning materials and basic cupboard ingredients such as oil and herbs. Our only issue was the lack of sharp knives for cooking, and we ended up slicing onions with an army knife. The beds are comfortable, every room has storage space, and though not luxury, the apartment has everything we needed.

The location is a fair way outside of the city centre, although it's easy to get around by taxi or bus, and perfectly possible to walk if you have good navigational skills. We paid around £7 for a taxi ride into the centre, which is not a problem when split between two or four people. For those who don't know liverpool, asking your driver to take you to "Liverpool one shopping centre" is a good starting place to explore the city from. There are small shops and two decently sized supermarkets within walking distance, which we found very easily with the help of the map in the information booklet. Jackie the owner was very friendly and easily reachable, happy to help with any issue.

Overall, I was very pleased with the apartment, and found it to be great value for money. I would stay here again.

Hi, so sorry about the lack of sharp knives. I thought they were all ok. Good job you had your army knife. I will check them out and make sure they are adequate for future guests. Thanks for the feedback and the great comments.
