This is a lovely hotel, very clean and I really like the decor. We ate in the restaurant for tea. The menu was really basic and I wasn't looking forward to it, but food was amazing. 'Burger' as titled on the menu, came out and was very impressive.
As for the hotel, it was lovely but our friends were in another room (opposite us) and they had a 'lazy boy' beanbag and we didn't. We also didn't have a chair for dressing table (which didn't have a mirror anyway). It was just these minor things that let it down. And our friends room had a chair too!

Being from the local area and having stayed in a number of hotels in the city over the years I have to be honest this is not one I had heard of. To my surprise it was a really beautiful building, lovely hotel room, brilliant views over looking both cathedrals the tower and various other buildings. Service was great and the staff where very friendly. Breakfast was also really good would definitely recommend.

Room tip: ask for a higher up room for good views - floor 6

Hi Hannah S,

Excellent 5* review of your experience with us here at aloft hotel Liverpool.

We are currently the only Starwood hotel located in the north of England and we have been building our profile in the city over the past 18 months to create awareness of who we are. The Royal Insurance building is one of the most iconic buildings in the city and has been part of the skyline for over 110 years. Before refurbishment the building was left to ruin for over 25 years and has now been brought back to life with a modern twist.

Our team are the biggest asset we've got in the hotel as they provide the service that exceeds our guest’s expectations and provide memorable experiences for all the right reasons.

Thank you for sharing and we hope to see you again in the near future.

Regards

Jon

This trendy boutique hotel is located just a few minutes walk from The Cavern, Liverpool 1 shopping mall and theatres and bars. The hotel itself is super trendy with a great bar, a fantastic breakfast and quiet, comfortable rooms and great beds. However, the staff are the stand out asset! From reception, to the waiting staff, to the chef, everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. Excellent customer service.

Room tip: Don't be afraid of the rooms below pavement level. They are quiet and private and comfortable.

Hi mandycp,

Our location is one the best in the city to access so many amazing attractions and close to the main transport links if our guests would like to travel further afield around Merseyside.

We've been open for 15 months now and the feedback has been overall fantastic and we aim to keep exceeding expectations on a daily basis for our guests. We are located in the former Royal Insurance building and it is one of the most iconic and historic buildings in Liverpool. We are adjacent to NYL Restaurant & bar, where you can sit and relax and enjoy the atmosphere at the bar, taste the quality of food on offer or speak to their friendly team.

Our team are our biggest asset, as it is them that look after our guests and provide the platform for a very enjoyable experience. We receive so many positive comments about how friendly, efficient, proactive and just all round good people they are. I'll share your review with them all at our next weekly team meeting.

Thank you for sharing and we hope to see you again in the near future.

Regards

Jon

Hi Debbie R,

Excellent 5* review of your experience with us here at aloft hotel Liverpool.

Our team work consistently hard to exceed guests expectations and it is good to read we did just that. The hotel design and location speaks for itself and I encourage all to come and experience what we have on offer.

We wish your daughter all the best for her future and hope she has many more memories of Liverpool to look forward to.

We hope to see you in the near future.

Checked in really smoothly and allocated a lovely room on the 6 th floor with a good view. However a little shocked to see a torn bolster cushion on the bed and the cover of an electrical socket hanging off the wall. Our main concern was the fact that we needed to leave our room key in a small porch outside our room to connect for electricity and ensure that our door was locked with the deadlock and security opening device at all time.....unnerving perhaps for a solo traveller ? Overall our 1 night stay was pleasant and due to time constraints unable to discuss these matters at the time but have highlighted them on email survey

Room tip: Ask for a high floor if you would like a view

Hi hd2,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us from your previous stay.

It is surprising to read the defects in the bedrooms and I've shared this with our Refresh and Maintenance team to investigate as the hotel has only been open for 15 months and the equipment we have hasn’t been in operation long.

The room you were allocated is only accessible by yourself and staff due to the location of your room. Our team normally supply an additional key as a standard with the sole purpose of being used only for the lights, if this was cut I do apologise but was no risk to yourself. I'm sure if you'd of spoken to our team about your concerns we could have put your mind at ease with clearing up the mechanics of how it works.

Again thank you for reviewing and we hope to welcome you back in the near future for a more positive stay.

Regards

Jon
