The food is lovely the restaurant is set out so you have plenty of room at your tables. But my goodness how MISERABLE are the staff no interaction whatsoever.

Just had the business lunch here, and will definitely be going back. I had the 2 course lunch costing £7.50,hubby had the £10.30 3 course lunch. Portions are large, we had chicken and sweetcorn soup to start, a little bland so you might need salt and soy sauce. It was really nice and very hot. There was enough for 4 people, but we managed to finish it :) hubbys 2nd course was a combo starter, spring roll, crispy see weed, and salt and pepper ribs. He enjoyed them.
My main was sweet and sour pork, really nice sauce and a huge portion of egg fried rice. Hubby had beef in black pepper sauce, equally as yummy.
Reasonably priced, staff were polite, service was good and the restaurant and toilets were immaculate.
There is also a lift for wheelchair or pram users. It does get very busy, so you might be better to try and book.
On the whole, a very pleasant lunch, and at £19 total food and drink bill, very good value for money.

Been to the Tai Pan a number of times over the years and the food has always been really good. Even when busy, the service is good. Not the cheapest place bit still worth a visit for good quality food.

Wonderful surprise that the food was very good at this restaurant. A meal near Chinese new year meant that place was very busy with Chinese families though the atmosphere polite and service courteous. A good table after booking a few days in advance and good initial service though one of the meals took an extended time to arrive (Dim Sum) partly due to a misunderstanding. Nice touch of fresh flannels and fruit after the meal and reasonable prices, though not a cheap meal. Overall a good experience. Difficulty is that when busy the car park gets very crowded (Chinese supermarket attached) and you have to search for a space. Unusual to find an excellent restaurant in this unfashionable area of Liverpool but well worth the trip.

Thank Joseph M
