We were a group of 10 friends, going to this restaurant. Honnestly, we waited like 15 minutes after the expected time of reservation to be seated, we waited then an hour before being served. But even with that, I would say that this restaurant offered us a very good service. They were very caring with us, offered us a lot of their home made bread, which was incredibly delicious. We understood at the end that a member of staff was missing because of illness, and since this is a small familly business, someone missing can cause real troubles. And the food, I think I can't find enough words to describe how fantastic, tasty, tender the food was. That was really an epic moment. We all took different dishes and we all felt in love with the food. Special mention to the mixed grill that I chose, with the meat charcoal cooked and the mixed meze that offered a good taste of moussaka, hummus, spinach, tabuleh, tatsiki. That was really food porn. Insane. I will definitely come back and bring all the friends I know in this restaurant !! An advice, book it first, as it is very busy !!

We are in London for my hubs annual business trip to London. And we are staying in Islington for the first time. (Love this area too btw.). So his client found this restaurant online and we went last night. We had seen the 5 star reviews on several sites and were really excited about going. Well it did not disappoint!! It was phenomenal! I can see why this is listed in the top restaurants in London. They brought us hot grilled flat bread with olive oil and hot pepper flakes and a cool cucumber yogurt also with a hint of spice as we sat down. We started with several cold and hot starters. (I went a little overboard with the starters- there were just to many amazing sounding ones we had to try them). But they were fantastic- ALL of them. The mains are large so we couldn't even come close to eating half. Which the owner and the chef were very concerned that we didn't like the food. Which we tried to assure them - we just ordered to many appetizers and that we LOVED everything. The owner is very sweet and kind too. The cacik was fresh and crisp went well even with my main - the Mix grill for one. The hummus with lamb was stellar. The Borek -pastry filled with hot feta and spinach -were amazing. The grilled halloumi was out of this world. The Dolma were the best I have ever had. We also had the prawns which were cooked perfectly. The 3 of us each ordered a main. I had the mix grill which is so fantastic my mouth is watering just typing this review. My husband had the sirloin steak - which was a huge steak, also cooked perfectly- served with roasted veg (potatoes and carrots) and a salad. Our guest had their Et Beyti- seasoned lamb mince charcoal grilled (think Kaffta) also served with a salad and rice pilaf. All the meats on our mains were all charcoal grilled in the kitchen and had an amazing smokey flavor. Everything cooked to the prefect temp, tender and flavorful. The mix grill was great -even tho I think it is a portion two people could split (it was a lot of food). The mix grill had a lamp chop, a lamb rib, a half Et Beyti, chicken kabob and a steak Kabob- it was a delicious selection of all the charcoal mains with a salad and rice pilaf. The place is very small so book ahead. I saw several people turned away while we sat there. Easy to walk to from anywhere in a Islington (which the weather in London at the moment couldn't be better.). It was a lovely dinner, so delicious that I don't even have enough words to express how amazing this restaurant is. And hands down one of the best- if not the best meal I have ever! Definitely the best we have had in London and we have eaten at some amazing places. The portions are large, the price is small and the food is the best ever. So I highly recommend this place. I loved it so much that I'm writing this review the day after our dinner- couldn't wait to write this. We are going to try and get another booking for another night before we leave. I will be dreaming of this food for quite awhile. Just so amazing...

Booked a table for 7 on a Friday at the end of August 2017... We're all fans of Turkish food and weren't disappointed! The food was delicious, the service excellent and all at a good price! Thank you Liman!

Great food , presented beautifully. Unpretentious surroundings. Lovely, warm service. Service was a bit slow , because they were so busy.

I had seafood linguine and the baklava, both were beautiful.

I recommend booking a table , rather than just turning up as they were full and we went on a weekday lunch time.

Thoroughly recommend.
