Since the Palomar has been one of my favourite spot in town, gladly had the chance to try at the sister restaurant. Similar food type, but more Morrocan feel. Tasty as well. The Jerusalem Bagel and Baba Ganoush are must-eat!!

Great food, great ambience for food lovers as you could see your food being cooked in front of you, happy and smiling waitresses, medium pricey, and a completely new experience. So definitely recommend and will definitely go back.

I would highly recommend The Barbary for an enjoyable evening and fantastic food. We enjoyed a lovely drink while we waited for a seat...we only had to wait about 30 minutes, but the atmosphere didn’t make it feel that long. Really incredible flavours and allowed me to try some different foods, such as octopus!

Don't go to the barbary if you're after a cosy quiet meal, it's not for you. Go there for a buzzy fun atmosphere with the open kitchen and order the naan, octopus, lamb and cauliflower! Service is informal and really helpful.

The Barbary may be a little difficult to find - it is tucked away within Neal's Yard, with very subtle external signage.

They have a carefully selected menu, but every dish we had was very good. Particularly the Chicken Abu Kalmash - although I dont normally enjoy chicken too much, this was brilliant.

Everything is cooked right in front of you, which adds to the atmosphere.

A couple of tips - go in small groups (preferably 2 people only) , as it is very small and getting a table for a larger group would be challenging. Although they do not generally take reservations, you can make a booking for 12.00 pm for an early lunch.
