This is a very busy gem hidden away near the station. It is very hard to walk in and get a table without a wait, but worth it when you can. The sushi is great, prepared by a specialist chef fresh as you order it. The Korean food I found to be average and there are other places in London serving better versions of the dishes. Due to the hectic nature, service is not fantastic as the poor staff are literally run off their feet, but the sushi more than makes up for this. I would recommend this place to any sushi lovers, but remember to book, and also check when Arsenal are playing at home as the restaurant becomes even more busy then!

A lot of the positivity surrounding Dotori is about the sushi, which we should clarify we did not have.

This aside, you can't walk in because of the popularity so book in advance. It's a small premises but there is downstairs seating area which can feel quite claustrophobic.

The food was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced and fills you up. Left us feeling a bit disappointed because of the hype, however no real major complaints.

If oriental food is your thing it is worth going. But, don't forget to book!

The overall experience was nice and the sushi/sashimi were lovely (fish of good quality but nothing amazing). However, I don't eat meat and ordered a fish/veggie bento box except that it was not that veggie. Ended up biting into a pork gyoza and after a long time being meat free, not a very pleasant experience.. I told the waitress who barely cared and no apologise were given (we paid nearly £30/person...so a little sorry about it would have been welcome). so veggies going there, watch out!

Came on a Saturday for lunch and used the opporyunity of the usual January diet to try that usually very busy restaurant.

From the start felt unwelcome with my 3 years old daughter and 6m toddler as could see in the eyes of the 'manager' it was probably not maximising the value of the table.

Then I understood that it was not only because it is a very small place that you usually queue...but also because staff is pretty slow...need to ask a couple of times for everything...to order, to get the bill, to get salt, to get water...disappointing

But ultimately the food is good and I might come back for take away

My mum came here a lot when working in North London and it seems somewhat of a hidden gem. It's recently had a refurb and now it has more space, which is definitely needed because it's always full! The bento box is amazing - you get a main, rice and a few sides for a very reasonable a price. The only downside is that they didn't have a couple of things that we wanted to order left (it was only 7pm on a Wednesday) so perhaps they need to have a look at their stock levels. It's a shame I live in South London or I would be a regular!
