Description: In the heart of Victoria-Pimlico you will find About Thyme - a bright and buzzy restaurant, usually packed out with folk dropping in from offices in nearby Victoria as well as those lucky locals who have this little gem right on their doorstep. A large purple painted and glass frontage opens out in to an intimate cream painted dining room furnished in subtle and comfortable banquettes and mood lighting while in the summer months pavement dining is a must for those people watching afternoons. About Thyme's bistro style menu is put together with produce fresh from the London markets so expect great tasting flavours straight from ground, sea or field inspired by classic European recipes.

We had been previously and enjoyed it, so we returned . Delicious fish dishes. Service was efficient but not quite as attentive as last time; they week busy though. Delicious puddings although the almond tart was a little too sweet.

Our 2 families were apprehensive going to About Thyme on short notice with an energetic 3yr old and 11yr old, but all that was swept away with the warm welcome Issei gave us. By the end of dinner, the 3yr old felt he was amongst old friends! They discreetly seated us in the quieter upstairs area (which is gorgeous and bigger), and the adults were able to enjoy our welcome glass of Cava with relief. The food was gorgeous, and best of all, throughout the evening, the staff made sure the kids knew they were a high priority. Our waiter even overheard the 3 yr old asking if we had ordered fries (they weren’t on the menu, as far as we could tell) and surprised us all with a plate of the coveted off-menu item! We ended up having a lovely evening and plenty of time to connect for adult and children conversation. A lovely reunion, with a wonderful menu. High recommendations for a Pimlico family-friendly bistro! And thank you to the wonderful staff at About Thyme!

There are places that you like or dislike at the first glance. This is the one of the first sort. Offering a good variety on the menu (but not that much for veg's to be fair) with a just price-quality ratio the restaurant gives one a chance to enjoy the dinner in a cosy ambience.
I would definitely recommend their rib-eye steak coming tender and juicy just as it should.
The place seems to be well-known and pretty busy even on weekday nights, so don't disregard pre-booking option especially arriving in a larger band.
Welcoming and friendly staff is doing great job as well.
Not being an expert in London dining-out, but just aт occasional visitor, I've found my favourite place so far. Why not give it a try?

Very good service and great location. Only a 2 min walk from the easyhotel Victoria. The had the carpaccio, the linguini and the risotto with 2 glasses of wine and the bill of approx £63. Not a cheap dinner but we felt it was fair for the amount of food, service, atmosphere and how good it all tasted! We would go back.

We discovered this restaurant last year and liked it enough to eat there three times on our recent visit. The menu and wine list are Spanish as are most of the staff. The choices are wide and service is friendly without intruding. We enjoyed unhurried meals and were suitably impressed by the quality at prices we regard as reasonable for central London. Happy to return.
