I recently stayed at the Walrus as I live on the London Waterloo line to attended a gig at the O2 Arena. Being a 5 minute walk from the station the hostel is ideal for connections to underground/overground.
The hostel itself is a bar on the ground floor with a side door providing 24hr access to the hostel. Up a flight of stairs was the kitchen that was compact but well equipped. Each floor had a bathroom and toilet, being able to use any floor. These were clean and tidy, though not top-spec.
I stayed in a room on the top floor which accommodated 8 bunks. The room and bedding were clean and comfortable, lockers provided as well as a deposit safe available. In the room there was a single plug with a multiplier for electrical items.
The WiFi was free and of a decent speed too. The state were friendly and helpful if you needed to ask anything. One word of caution: the aforementioned connectivity with the railway means earplugs are essential as the hostel is on the edge of Waterloo bridge (i.e. trains running most of the night/morning). With that preparation sleep is easily reached!
