Checked into the Town Hall Hotel and Apartments at Bethnal Green on our annual visit to the UK. We always stay here, as it is very convenient, but still away from the bustle of the City, and it feels like home. This was our 5th visit.
Found the place at full occupancy, so the apartment I had asked for was not available. We were given another, which was not up to expectations as there were deficiencies. We asked to be moved, but the response was not positive.
The next day, one of the people at reception who recognized us from our previous visits, Djahid, was on duty and immediately made arrangements to move us. By afternoon, he had got 2 Apartments ready for our inspection and we chose the one that best met our requirements. I had a problem with the tv, which he had replaced, and moved to our new apartment, and even went to the extent of obtaining a special chair my wife had liked on our previous visits. A wonderful gesture that touched our hearts.
The property is very lucky to have people like Djahid on board, who recognizes regular customers and makes the extra effort to keep them happy. As long as the Town Hall has such great people around, we will continue to be regular guests.

Dear scooter051,
Thank you for visiting again. We share your happiness that we were able to rectify the concerns about the suite you were first offered by identifying others more fitting with your requirements and expectations as soon as the became available. Of course, your profile has been updated accordingly. Djahid has been working at Town Hall Hotel for nearly 6 years now. His talents over that time have been developed and nurtured to help ensure excellence and a hospitable nature have become some of his key attributes. In fact, Djahid was shortlisted for the Boutique Hotel of the Year Concierge award last year. He is delighted you have mentioned him on the various social media platforms available and looks forward to welcoming you back again soon. Thanks for taking the time.
Best wishes until then

We stayed at the town hall Hotel in an executive suite and it definitely lived up to expectations.
Spacious room with kitchen and living area and all amenities at hand.
Lovely continental breakfast and the pool and gym is done very tastefully.
The room comes with a free phone which you can take out on your travels free of charge and came in handy for directions.
Remember if you have an I phone to bring charger because there isn’t one in room unless you buy for £15.
All staff were friendly and helpful and we’ll definitely return.

Dear Shaun C
Many thanks for your kind, balanced, review of the hotel facilities and services. We try and ensure we think of everything and it seems on this occasion we did! We are delighted you found the Handy phone useful and welcomed the opportunity to buy souvenirs and useful things you may have forgotten to pack from the luxury of your suite. Please hurry back as we have recently renewed our pop up shop and increased the range of items you might wish to buy for your friends and families.
Kind regards

We were on the ground floor located close to the indoor swimming pool and the upstairs breakfast room. Our apartment was very comfortable, had a small seating area, kitchenette, very nice bathroom with a shower and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was helpful and kind at all times of the day and night. The hotel is .3 miles from the Bethnal Green tube stop on the Central line. When we come to London we like to catch the theatre. We had no problem getting around from this location. Also if you are a foodie this area of town has alot to offer as well. We had many delicious meals in the Shore Ditch and Flower Market area. We will be returning!!

Room Tip: I thought that the whole hotel was very quiet.

Very different hotel in the ‘Design’ group managed by Starwood. Very friendly with numerous different styles of room, some might say quirky. Food is reasonably priced at only £8 for continental breakfast, dinner in the corner room is superb...I had venison one evening and rabbit Wellington another. Beers are from a local craft brewery (Crate) which in itself is admirable. Beds are sublimely comfortable....the lap bath in our room was again very different being in the bedroom itself. Love the hotel dog...Dizzy, who invariably greets you when you arrive. Being situated in Bethnal Green might put some off, but it is an up and coming area in the throes of transformation. Lack of parking may also be an issue with some as all streets are reserved for residents, however we found a way round it with the’Just park’ website where you can loan parking permits from local residents who do not need them for just £12 a day.
Thoroughly recommended!

Room Tip: 3rd floor rooms have good views

For a completely different, high-end hotel stay…go here! This is one savvy hotel oozing with character and charm. It was like staying in a museum for a Town Hall heritage; retro in style but forward-thinking service and trendsetting cuisine.

The rooms, the vibe, the staff, everything is so well thought through. It’s a place that lives and breathes history along every hallway and turn – and do take note of the pictures on your room walls. The creative food, the unique approach to drinks and complimentary milk fridge in the lobby were all delicious.

I was in a suite on the third floor and the room overall was thoughtfully designed with just the right amount of whimsical touches. The bed was heavenly, bathroom divine and a living room to feel like you've moved into your own personal place...and the complimentary mobile phone service is genius. After two weeks of travel, I loved the fact I could do my own laundry in the washer/dryer that comes with the room’s own kitchenette (detergent supplied complimentary).

Stayed as a guest for 4 nights while visiting a trade show at ExCel –easy and quick route in a taxi to commute, and Bethnal Green tube station is around the corner within 3 minutes walking. This area of London, and Shoreditch up the road, has definitely changed over the years and the hotel’s location is ideal to take in the more Bohemian trendy attractions from the Sunday Colombia Street market, V&A Children’s museum, Brick Lane curry houses and a stroll along Regent’s Canal.

If you want a traditional hotel stay, this is not your place. If you want an inspired, out-of-the-box stay and come away with stories to tell…look no further! As for Dizzie the resident greyhound ...you're one classy lady! Highly recommend staying here.

Dear fizzymisslizzy,
We were all delighted to read the review you chose to share with the Trip Advisor community. For such an obviously well seasoned traveller, your carefully crafted entry must have taken some time and thought. Seriously, thank you very much! Many social media platform users 'weaponise' the resource, so it is lovely to see that my staff have been given the boost they deserve for all their hard work which they are frequently underappreciated for.
Do hurry back and remember book early for WTM next year!
Kind Regards
