Our meats come from smithfield meat market (where Terry used to work prior to the cafe) and our fresh produce comes from the famous Borough market. More recently in 2011 we introduced our coffee machine to the forecourt of our shop We enjoy a good relationship with Monmouth coffee co who have supplied us from the outset. We bake our own fresh pastries on the premises daily. Lunch time you can enjoy one of our home cooked daily specials from £8.00, such as "Toad in the hole ", sausage & herb pie, Traditional Roast dinners or Fish and chips, all cooked the premises and cooked to our own families recipes. “Best quality British fry up in London.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2013

Food first- it ain't Michelin nor does it pretend to be but it's quality throughout. We have to declare our hand here as we are totally biased, we lived just a stone throw's away from this most wonderful emporium to the tradition of the Great British Breakfast. Go for a full English, it's the business or variations on that, leave the continental breakfast to others. The decor- outstanding, the walls are plastered with wonderful snap shots of by-gone London. Staff- the team is led by Austin, true and fast, a real gent. Last but not least the price- very fair indeed.
If you've never been to a London cafe before come here to experience true home style London with a packed cliental from all walks of life who know a good thing when they taste it.

“Best breakfast in London”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2013

I used to work at nearby Ministry of sound, so Terry's was a regular haunt for us.

The food is of the absolute highest quality, cooked to perfection, and Austin runs the kitchen like a well-oiled machine.

I was recently taken to a place near Old Street that has a reputation for great breakfasts, and I can honestly say it wasn't a patch on Terry's.

Best breakfast in town – 'nuff said.

“Very overrated”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2013 via mobile

What a disappointment: nobody attended to me on arrival, rude waitress, late service. I ordered a hot chocolate and croissant but it was the worst ever. I will not recommend this cafe to my friends....

Hello mr Milk sheik ,

I have never had such a damning and spiteful review over a hot chocolate & a croissant .

However , we do bake our own croissants on the premises daily ( this was not the case when your review was posted ) & we use high quality cocoa and full milk to make the hot chocolate .

Best wishes

Austin & the team .

“Best sausage in London”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2013

I have eaten in Terry's for several years now and have never had anything other than a top notch meal. The quality of the ingredients has never varied; the Cumberland sausage has to be the best in London, and the bacon is of a similar quality. The Bubble and Squeek (Not on Mondays as freshly prepared) is a welcome addition to any good breakfast menu.
There are countless identa-kit cafes in London, serving the same paste filled tubes and fatty rashers in soulless mediocrity but Terry's is a welcome change, with the decor being a unique glimpse into the past of the Eastend area, and the music played not having a deep base line.
I have always found Austin, the current owner to be friendly, with a ready and funny line of chat, the rest of the staff have always been friendly and efficient.
The standards of cleanliness are second to none.
Would recommend without hesitation.
