Went to the exhibition of the collection of Charles I. Of course the highlights were the Van Dycks but the whole exhibition was stunning. Plenty of availability for timed tickets

Thank Ian B

This wonderful collection of paintings have NEVER been seen in one setting before. It's an amazing achievement by the Royal Academy. There are many many highlights, but the best for me were the two HUGE Equestrian paintings of Charles I by Van Dyke hanging side by side for the first time ever. Charles I made history and so have the Royal Academy in this their 250th year. This is a MUST SEE !!

My son and I had a great experience at the Charles I King and Collector, the conditions and service are wonderful. And the staff are so lovely from the tickets desk to the staff inside the galleries and art rooms
Thank you, we will be back

Wonderfully presented exhibition if the brilliant collection out together by Charles I before his demise. Very well worth a visit.

Visit let down by surly brusqe staff who had no customer service skills.

Yes it was busy, we expected nothing less. A unique opportunity, maybe never to be repeated, to see this impressive collection of art brought together from the corners of the globe under one roof, in London, since 17th century ! Not only in a stunning building, not only tricky yet spectacularly successful communication with other art galleries around the world for the loan of their related art treasures, not only grandiose paintings but sculptures, miniatures, huge scale tapestries, not only van Dyke but other collections and old masters, each piece with its own story to tell All set against a turbulent piece of Englands history.
Highly Recommend, especially when seen with Charles 11 exhibition at Queens Gallery.
