“Excellent location in central London”
Reviewed 24 February 2012

A pleasant hotel well situated in the centre of London. The staff were friendly and helpful, they squeezed me into afternoon tea an hour after I had checked in even though I had not previously made a booking. The afternoon tea was good but not great (not as good as the Lanesborough, or Browns). The room size was good and well furnished.

Good location, easy to reach from underground. Walking distance till main places. Breakfasts were bad. Rooms are ok. Wonderful coral singers.

Simply perfect i booked the hotel at 1230 a.m the previous evening to staying there, my son had left home to work in London and i was missing him dreadfully.I arrived at the hotel tired and quite sad and from the moment i walked in the staff and the hotel made me feel like i was being given a huge comforting hug.The young man on the door, wonderful Martha and the rest of the reception staff in fact every single one of them, they where unable to find my booking as i had booked late with lastminute.com so i had to wait only a short while but because of this they up graded us to a marvellous luxury room. Please i urge you to experience this grand yet simply perfect place for yourself.Thank you to all and i will certainly be returning.

I hesitated before writing this because I would like it to remain a Tippy Top Secret, but hey! that's the power of the internet - so my secret love is no secret any more. There's absolutely nothing negative to say about this, just please observe the quiet quality and unassuming aristocratic air of this hidden jewel in the priceless diadem of London's finest hotels. Please b ehave with good manners and respect other guests and who knows a certain someone may find you a table previously reserved for Tom Cruise (and I'm not joking on this one).

I went with my wife and our best friend just for the Martini experience !!!
You can't book so you need to be crafty to get a table in the bar , on this occasion I am not telling how !!! As I have been unsuccessful many times before!!!
But when you do my goodness what a divine drink they will make for you at the table from a portable trolly , we all had the VESPER made famous by Ian Fleming just superb.
