Booked here because of the proximity of Earl's Court tube station on the line to Wimbledon.
Hotel staff were very friendly, but the room (and apparently most others ) was tiny ( no bedside table both sides, and one side of the bed against the wall). Air conditioning was to open the window. There were a few ants at the start of our 3 day stay, but many, many more at the end of it.
Paid an extra £5.00 for cooked breakfast that was totally inedible. Also worried that if ants were in our room upstairs - were they in the kitchen too?
We purposely chose a 'budget' hotel as we knew we would be out a lot, so didn't expect luxury, but whatever grade of hotel we stay, I do expect CLEAN and free of insects.
I can assuredly say we will never stay at the Amsterdam Hotel in Trebovir Road ever again - I'll chose somewhere clean and pest free and walk a little further to the nearest tube.More
