paddigton is a very nice and well organized area just a few stations away from the center of london. the hotel is very close to the metro and bus station ! i went a trip with my friends so we didn't need something special.. a cheap hotel that meets our basic demands ! the hotel was clean and was next to the metro , nothing else.. everything was just basic ! we didn't expect something better if you take into account the amount of money we paid.

ps. if you are searching for something a lot better but also much more expensive is hotel "indigo" also in paddigton. i went there with my girlfriend

The double room was so tiny we had to store one backpack on top of the cupboard in order to be able to move - the other we placed under the desk. The cupboard could only be opened 20 cm. The carpet looked like something from World War II - very dirty. The window could not hold open - we had to put the only chair in the room in between the bars to hold it. The bathroom was ok, though, and the towels and sheets were clean. The breakfast was very good - order tea, not coffee, since the coffee was always cold.

The hotel is a few steps away from Hyde park and from Paddington making it a good location. The hotel is basic. I only stayed there once and had a room in the basement. I could clearly hear the underground passing near by... so avoid the basement !

I must say I stayed for one night only. We needed a hotel in Central London, easy to access from Heathrow airport. I agree with all the bad reviews, but don´t forget that you are in London. You are supposed to sleep in a shoebox. We took the Heathrow Express from the airport, and the Paddington station is just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Make sure you exit on Praed St, then turn right. The hotel entrance is just 5 blocks from there. How great is that?
The down side is that the room is tiny and the breakfast poor. But I never expect a resort when I´m in London. Unfortunately, there is no safe in the room. I think that´s a must
