“great for groups..”

The hotel lobby is inviting, The bar staff and consiege were awesome. Customer service lacked at checkin. The hotel is in need of a makeover, thus making the rooms pricey . Do a upgrade online more effective. as a single traveler I was able to mingle with at members of at least 3 groups from worldwide . Lunch is okay at the hotel but there are so many other options in the surrounding area in walking distance, since you are on a a main street be prepared to be dirty upon your return to your hotel I washed my hands and was amazed how dirty my skin was because of the Kensington traffic! my nose had soot in it!

Room Tip: Close to Gloucester Station....

We arrived with several bags to terminal 1, The options to get to the Hilton are a hefty 20-30 sterling or by train which is free, extremely long walk to the train if you have more than one bag.
Lines were long but management seem to be aware and instituted traffic control. A couple of good restaurants, we chose Chinese, pricey, food was just okay, good selection. rooms are good for a night , functional, No wi-fi, hourly, 24 hour price options only.carts are available for the long journey back and shuttle service by the 1/2 hour.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights 21-24 March 2012 in a suite. Although the first suite we were given was very shabby and in desperate need of an update, this was soon sorted out and we were given another suite which although needing updating was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and very accommodating. The bed was very comfortable, and the suite was very large indeed. We intend to stay again in July when hopefully a refurb will have taken place.

Downside the breakfast in the executive room was serviced by an overzealous member of staff who cleared away before the 10am deadline leaving us with little to have for breakfast. She also hovered around our table and took food away before we had finished..

Overall we had a comfortable stay and once it has had a refurbishment it should be an excellent place to stay.

quite simply, it was the best overall experience we have had in a London hotel in this price bracket.
Superior room of a good size, airy, light and The most comfortable hotel bed i've ever slept in!
Staff were warm, welcoming and nothing was an inconvenience or to much trouble, even 'cheeky' requests..
Executive lounge- loved it, an idea others should take not of with fantastic 'butler' staff, comp canapes and wine in the evening!
Location- perfect for a quieter stay, only £10 taxi from town or 15 mins from door to piccadilly by tube.

Room Tip: worth a couple of extra quid for a superior room with comp executive lounge

We stayed at this hotel on Saturday purely for leisure. The hotel reception staff were extremely efficient and very welcoming. The barman was wonderful. In fact every member of staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Not always the case in London hotels! The hotel was very clean, buzzy and not horrificly expensive. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip into London.

My husband and I stayed here for a week between March 6 and March 14, 2012. While the reception staff was very accommodating and friendly, the overall quality and condition of the rooms was disappointing. I would rate the reception staff and Concierge a 4.5, who greeted us warmly each time we entered the hotel and were helpful with restaurant suggestions and reservations. Twice, however, they failed to give us the wake-up call we had requested.
The room was generally quiet, but the bed was uncomfortable, due to poor back support. it dipped in the middle. I looked at the mattress. It was one of those inexpensive with blue and white striped ticking, definitely not high quality. They really need to upgrade their mattresses. Also, the room was very small. That may be the case for hotel rooms in London, in general, though. Two lampshades were in poor condition. One was actually torn, and another stained. The bathroom, particularly the tile floor, was ice cold. According to staff the bathrooms in this hotel are not heated. I don't know whether or not that is common in London. Overall, since we were paying almost $300.00, I would have expected a more presentable room and comfortable bed.

Stayed here for 2 weeks on a business trip.. Some thoughts -

Pros
1) Location - Located in Kensington and just a few mins walk away from a tube stop so was extremely easy to get around the city. Also there are numerous restaurants walking distance from the hotel..

2) Clean - the rooms and bathrooms are extremely clean

Cons
1) Old - hotel is extremely old and in a desperate need of a renovation

2) Bed - with the hotel being super old, the beds are extremely worn out. I had taken a weekend trip so stayed in two different rooms, but the bed was extremely old and uncomfortable in both rooms

3) Room service - although was quick the menu is pretty basic and food isn't that great..

Overall just a very average stay.. The crowne plaza across the street seemed a lot nicer than than the Marriott
