This could be a good hotel if more attention was paid to detail, facilities were properly maintained and the staff were more approachable. We stayed for one night and will never go there again. The television/remote control would not work correctly and the extract fan in the bathroom was defunct making the room unpleasant to use. If you foolishly decide to stay at this hotel make sure you take ear plugs with you, as the noise from the air conditioning system is diabolical (even when turned off). We got very little sleep due to an intermittent sound like an electric drill boring into a concrete wall.
The breakfast which is self service (except coffee and tea) can only be rated as below average. The cooked food - fried eggs and bacon etc, was pre prepared (not cooked to order) and looked very greasy and unappetising. The coffee was lukewarm and for some reason the cereals were located in another part of the room well away from the main self service bar, which was not pointed out by the waiter serving coffee. There was no fresh fruit available just horrible dried stuff.
When my wife asked at reception if we could have drinking water in our room, she was told to ask in the bar. The bar staff were most unhelpful and said it was not available and that we would have to pay for water from the minibar in our room (over £2 for a very small bottle!). Is it right that we should have to pay for drinking water?
I have stayed at far better and more friendly hotels in London.

You have mislocated on your map. Hotel across street from Victoria and Albert Museum. Room a bit small but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is outstanding, Full English every morning. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

We spent 3 nights here and found it very pleasant. When a problem developed with the lock on our door the first evening, the staff quickly helped us switch to a different (nicer) room. The breakfast buffet has an ample variety of choices. We liked the proximity of the hotel to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights when we had our trip to the palace. Lovely hotel, large rooms and bed. Breakfast was good. Would have been nicer if there was more fresh fruit. Easy access to most things.

Fantastic location, close to the iconic museums and close to South Kensington underground, with its open plaza of containing an eclectic mix of restaurants.
The hotel was very clean, the staff were helpful and the check-in and check-out process was flawlwss. The breakfast was comprehensive and well-presented.
The stay was marred by the room - a small room with a standard double bed - I would have expected at least a queen size for a 4 star hotel. The pillows were uncomfortable. These would have been acceptable but for the HEAT - the room was unbearably hot. Our stay was during a period of hot, sunny weather, but nonetheless the room was too hot, despite constantly running the room fan on 'cold' and at top speed, resulting in poor, interrupted sleep. The room was booked 6 months in advance, so no excuse for a late-booked, lesser standard room - I must assume that all the rooms have similar problems(?).

We were at the Rembrandt for eight nights recently, traveling with friends to tour London. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the location is great for tourists. We used the tube constantly and So. Kensington station was right down the street. Lots of restaurants in the area (Loved "the Bunch of Grapes",down the street) and Harrods a short walk away. Our room was a bit dated, but the bed was very comfortable and the staff great. I can't say enough about the breakfast staff who worked hard to keep everyone happy and were always cheerful. We had an airconditioning malfunction one night and management was quickto address th issue and gave us a free night. The breakfast buffet was good value. We'd stay again.

This hotel has an excellent location, directly opposite the V&A and just a short walk from South Kensington tube station. The room and the hotel in general, were well presented and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was very little outside noise. All staff we encountered, were very polite and pleasant. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would be very happy to stay there again myself. The room rate I got was good value, considering the standard of hotel and it's excellent location.
