Tessa and Attila made me fel at home from the first moment I arrived until the moment that I had to leave. I look forward to returning. As well as cooked breakfast there is an amazing cold buffet selection.

Room Tip: Quieter at the rear

Stayed with 6 familymembers (all adults) in the apartment on the 3rd floor. The apartment has two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have a double bed and a single bed, and are big enough. There is a small kitchen and a bathroom to share between us.The bathroom is equipped with toiletries and bath towels. Besides this, there are coffee and tea facilities, a hair dryer, and ironboard/iron and the equipped kitchen with a freezer, fridge, stove, microwave and toaster.
Good price: 200 £/night/6 persons, including a full English breakfast for all six of us.
Whenever we come back to London, we 'll surely stay at Arofa Hotel. Excellent service ! Good location as well !

Room Tip: Book well in advance because the Arosfa Hotel is always fully booked. Great stay for a family or fr...

Arosfa Hotel is just wonderful. Tessa and Attila are wonderful hosts. We stayed here in March 2012 for three nights before leaving on a Contiki trip around Europe and then stayed for another three nights in April 2012 on returning from the Contiki. Coming back in April was like coming home! The breakfast is wonderful - cereal, fruit, juices, toast, spreads, full english breakfast, croissants, buns, donuts - the works! The beds are comfortable and although it is on a main road, the double window system keeps things very quiet. The first time we stayed in Room 6, which was very "cosy", but manageable. The second time we stayed on the top floor in a bigger room. The wifi was great, very good signal even on the top floor. Great location for the tubes - under ten minutes walk to Warren Street, Goodge Street, Euston Square, Euston and Russell Square Stations. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to London!

Room Tip: Room six is very small.

Stayed in a single room. It's small but it's clean, and really lovely. Location is fantastic. Nearest tube station is Goodge Street on Northen Line - only 5 minutes walk. Lounge is comfortable with sofas and 2 computers. Wifi is also available. My room gets good signal despite being on top floor right at the end. Price is reasonable.

I stayed at the Arosfa Hotel for 3 nights just after Easter 2012, following a friend's warm recommendation. I was certainly not disappointed. As all other reviewers have stressed, Tessa and Attila provide a very warm welcome and are always on hand for a friendly chat or to provide helpful advice. The breakfast was good and was served very speedily. The living room is a pleasant place to sit and read with a cup of tea, or use the computers (there are 2, but it would be a squeeze for two people to use them at the same time). This is particularly welcome if your room is small, as mine was.
The location is pretty convenient, both for St Pancras and for the West End and Oxford Street. I managed to walk everywhere for most of my stay, but there are Tube stations nearby.

Room Tip: I had room 7, which is a compact (i.e. tiny) single, but with all mod cons. I liked it because it wa...

We spent 4 nights at Arosfa. The hotel is well situated close to Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road, We had a bus taking us from King's Cross to Goodge Street (closest subway station).
The hotel is a small one managed by very nice and helpfull people. We had the manager (Tessa) sending us an email a few days before our arrival to check at what time we will be there. When we arrived, we were taken to the living room, the manager explained to us all we had in the hotel and around the hotel. While we were there talking, someone from the staff took our luggage up to the room (no elevator).
The room has all tha facilities you need if you don't prepare to spend your whole days at the hotel. We had a small and clean room, which was enough for us (we spent our days out visiting). The room was on the last floor so we did not have any noise (from outside or from other rooms).
The breakfast was complete with a lot of choice (british breakfast, yogourt, bread, pastries, fruits,cereal,...) and the staff is always ready to prepare you everything you want!

We really had a great stay at Arosfa and recommend it! we will certainly come back!

Thanks Tessa!

We stayed in the Arosfa for one night on our way to France via Eurostar. We were greeted by Tessa who immediately made us feel very welcome. Once she realised we had to be up very early the next morning and hadn't printed our Eurostar tickets she suggested that we could print them using the hotel facilities to save time. Tessa also pre-prepared a breakfast for us the night before. Our rooms were upgraded to larger ones which happened to be available. The rooms were spacious, clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location - quiet but very close to central London. It seemed that nothing was too much trouble for the staff in this lovely hotel, and we would highly recommend it to others.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Arosfa Hotel is a refurbished 200-year old Georgian Town House in the heart of historic Bloomsbury district, the former home of the famous Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais. The cool white garden squares and wide streets of Bloomsbury have been a pull to thinkers for centuries, and it sometimes seems like every second house has a blue plaque denoting that a great writer, scientist or philosopher once inhabited the building. It was in Bloomsbury that Karl Marx created communism, Virginia Woolf defined the twentieth century British novel, and Charles Darwin first conceived the theory of natural selection. The imposing bulk of the British Museum, home to seven millennia of human art and artefacts, dominates the area, and there are plenty of other academic institutions including Birkbeck College, the beautiful University of London Library, and RADA, London's grandest drama school. ... more   less
