“Very reliable, solid hotel with unbeatable location to Heathrow Express”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2012

Heathrow Express to Paddington and right into your hotel. So convenient. The breakfast buffet is great and rooms are comfortable but bed is just sleepable and the shower is mediocre. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Chamber maid did a really nice job cleaning and organizing. There are great deals to be had here so look around, and again, very liveable for the great location you get. Did have one glitch when a wakeup call came to my room at 5AM which I did not request.

Stayed one night in a King Executive room, January 2012. We chose the hotel due to the convenient location for Paddington station and Heathrow Airport. Getting to the hotel from the main railway station or from the airport via the Heathrow Express really couldn't be easier with steps and a lift leading to the reception directly from the main station concourse.

This is a historic old building originally intended to house wealthy travellers arriving in London on the Great Western Railway into the Brunel designed Paddington Station during the heyday of the railways. Consequently the interior of the public areas of the hotel is very impressive indeed, as are the corridors which are the widest I have ever seen. Our King Executive room was large and well appointed, with a luxury bathroom. Only downside was the lack of a view, disappointing when paying for a premium room. The included breakfast buffet was one of the best I have experienced in the UK with a great choice of hot and cold food. All the staff we encountered throughout our stay were friendly and helpful.

Recommended for anyone seeking a hotel in close proximity to Paddington Station. Not the most central for sightseeing in London, but this is not a problem if you are happy to use the adjoining tube service from Paddington Underground station.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on one of the higher floors to be sure not to be bothered by road noise. Be aware tha...

Hilton Paddington is indeed convenient if you are staying in London and trying to catch a train to London Heathrow airport. However, don't expect any recognition as a Hilton HHonors Gold!! Hilton Paddington is a busy hotel similar to an airport hotel with a busy lobby and very expensive. The front staff look overwhelmed and seems like not enjoying their work. The manager seats few feet away from checking stand and doesn't seem to care either! I've stayed at Hilton for buiness over 20 times and 40 nights over the past year, but I am finally switching to Marriott. Hilton is old and tired. No one cares. I have not provided much business to Marriott, but they still greet me with a smile and even recognize my basic Silver status. It's a shame because I am few nights from becoming Diamond at Hilton.

As a regular visitor to London I was fortunate enough to come across a deal for three nights in the Hilton.
The hotel is extremely clean with lots of staff to look after your needs. My room was very spacious and comfortable with every thing that you would want for a short stay.
Despite its very central location it is very quiet inside and as soon as you close the bedroom door you hear very little.
It could not be any closer to Paddington train / tube station as it backs straight onto the station.
All in all I thought it was a great hotel and would love to stay here again. I must check regularly to see if any deals are going..............

The Hilton Paddington is an excellent hotel in the centre of London. We arrived at Paddington station and walked straight to the hotel, less than a minute from the platform! However, once you are in the hotel you would not believe that it is so close to a main train station. There was no train noise whatsoever.

We had requested early check-in but due to be being fully booked and people checking out late due to it being Easter weekend, we could only check-in 30 minutes early. This was not an issue as we left our luggage with the concierge and had a quick wander around the local area.

Once we checked in, the room was great. It was immaculately clean, a good size with everything you could need. Small touches such as a coffee maker rather than instant coffee, decent toiletries and an iPod dock made this an extra pleasant stay. Having had previous bad experiences with London hotels, I was extremely pleased to find such a charming hotel.

Breakfast was a buffet with a choice of continental or full English. The full English was perfect and the staff very attentive.

I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely be staying here again, particularly for the price (£100 B+B - booked direct).

The convenience to the train station and the underground, combined with the reasonable price for top quality mattress, pillows, desk, and bathroom, makes this our hotel of choice for London stays.

Room Tip: We booked a queen room and they gave us a free upgrade to king.

I had one night and day in London on my way home from Ireland, so I booked the Hilton Paddington in order to have quick access to Heathrow via the Heathrow Express that leaves from the station. Once I arrived, I started to wonder why this had not been my hotel on previous occasions. It's completely convenient both to trains and the underground since it's actually within the station itself, not to mention it's incredibly easy to walk downstairs and have access to late-hours grocery and pharmacy and there are several restaurants as well. The staff from check-in to concierge and bellhops were excellent and friendly. I was able to upgrade to the executive level on arrival and so had access to the lounge with happy hour (which serves food-so it was also dinner hour for me), internet access, etc. The evening concierge in the executive lounge was helpful and friendly, but the lady that was there in the morning not so much. She was the only dull spot in an otherwise fantastic stay.

Last year, I reviewed another Hilton in London that was absolutely disastrous - I described it as not being up to the standard. Hilton Paddington exceeds the standards - recommend without hesitation if convenience, comfort, and service are your priorities.

Room Tip: I was able to upgrade to the executive level for 20 pounds, which I considered worth it. Much large...
