Lovely Easter dinner. Upon arrival we ordered champagne. We noticed all other guests were receiving a pink drink prior to dinner. I asked the server and he informed me it was a complimentary drink with slow gin and elderflower. I thought he would bring us one as he was everyone else, but he never did. Hmmm... For starters we had the olives and rosemary bread. Both delicious! For entrees I had the halibut and my husband had sea bass. Again delicious! We also tried the truffle Mac & cheese (not a fan) and smoked potato and gruyere croquettes (yum). Of course we were too full to indulge in dessert, but it did look wonderful.

Lovely place, excellent service, delicious food. Not one thing in the menu one wouldn’t want. Staff utterly pleasant. Full marks.

Booked a last minute meal with husband. Went for the set menu. Tasty food and delicious cocktail included ( we ordered another one!) waiting staff attentive . Was rather strange as in a dining room with only 3 covers when we arrived we were sat very close to one of the only other diners.
Salmon pate and lamb dish really nice . Watch out as lots of extra hidden costs in ordering the set menu eg sides and supplements.

Have eaten here before on several occasions, but always in the evening.
On this occasion we had just arrived in London and decided to have lunch.
We opted for the “fixed price” offering: great value at £30 - or was it £35? Even on this menu, you will probably have to add a few side dishes to complete your meal. Even so, well-prepared dishes beautifully presented and served by courteous and professional staff were worth every penny. And all in such a beautiful setting.
The wine waiter was particularly pleasant: his recommendations interesting and thoroughly enjoyable.
Don’t wait for a special occasion- just treat yourself

Set in the amazing Victorian architectural splendour of St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, The Gilbert Scott was the perfect way after a day of indulgence in London! A fantastic dining space with a lovely relaxed ambience, the lights are dimmed as the evening progresses, and the waiters use crumb trays on the tables,so attention to detail is such a key point, which is what we love! Great sommelier, really helpful, and your glass never goes empty.Tried some English wines from a quality wine list, which were superb. Menu was a dream to choose from. Starters of lamb sweetbreads and roasted quail were so good! Mains of roasted cod and beef fillet, everything hit the spot faultlessly.Desserts of liquorice panna cotta and hot chocolate pot, total yum! Treat yourself to an evening here for any occasion and you won't be disappointed. Thank you to everyone for making it perfect.
