Being regular visitors to London and staying in the Marble Arch area we visit many places. Discovered this pub ages ago and suddenly it went gastro and now MUST be visited every time we are in London.
A week or so ago we had dinner there - packed out _.understand,y when you have a meal there !!:-)
For the two of us starters were celeriac soup and a great smoke trout dish.
Mains were an incredible pork dish and a huge real beef burger

My first visit, but not my last - I really like this place! Downstairs is a bar and tables in a nice space, but we ate upstairs which felt a bit cosier & warmer. Lovely wood decor gives it an almost alpine feel, we had an excellent server who was very helpful in answering questions about the menu, and our food was excelllent. A real gem!

My husband and I stayed at The Grazing Goat for the first time last week and would highly recommend it.
There are only a few rooms over three floors, above a pub and restaurant. We stayed in a superior room on the third floor. It was spacious and light, with a great size bathroom and claw foot free standing bath along with separate shower. Our friends stayed in a standard room on the first floor, which was smaller, although very charming and well appointed. This place has a real buzz, and is very popular with locals from morning until late at night. We had drinks at the bar, plus breakfast. Eggs were good and so is the coffee! The staff were all really great too.
Location wise, you are in the ritzy part of London, but also in close proximity to Hyde Park (5min walk) and Marble Arch tube (5min walk). If you like exploring on foot, we walked to Big Ben in around 30mins. Buckingham Palace is just before that, so probably 20 minutes.Very easy walk, but you do have the tube right there if you prefer.
As per other reviews, the Goat doesn't have an elevator. If you have difficulty with stairs, request a room on the first floor.
We didn't eat there, other than breakfast, it wish we had as the place was jumping and the food looked great!
Would definitely stay again.

The Grazing Goat Public House & Hotel is located in Marylebone on New Quebec Street, just three blocks from The Cumberland Hotel and the Marble Arch in London.

After a long day of fighting large crowds on Oxford Street, we were in need of a restaurant away from the rush of people. Although it was a Monday evening around 7:00pm, patrons were already gathering for drinks and food. We did not have a reservation for dinner, but the staff quickly found a table. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot on, my wife had the fish of the day and I had the chicken. Both dishes were excellent.

If you are looking for a friendly place, not to far off the beaten path and away from the madding crowds of London; The Grazing Goat is a great retreat for drinks or dinner.

We stayed here for one night. The room was spacious with a nice bathroom and nice toiletries. The bed was large and comfortable. For us the location was a winner - just off Oxford Street, Marble Arch end, so very near Hyde Park. There's plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants within walking distance including Selfridges food-hall if, like us, you haven't much time to eat.
There's tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but oddly there was only one small cafetiere - not great if you both want coffee.
The only disappointment for us were the surly bar staff. None of them were very friendly (perhaps it's a London thing) and kept reminding us when we arrived for drinks at 10.30 pm that last orders were 11 pm sharp - even if you're a resident. They were keen to get everyone out and shut up immediately afterwards. In addition they add 12.5% on to the bar bill - a bit steep if you're only having a coke and a beer.

Room tip: There is no lift so if you don't like walking up numerous flights of stairs request a room on the 2nd floor

Thank you very much for your feedback, I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the facilities of the hotel, however, I’m really sorry to hear that your experience didn’t fulfil your or our expectations. We take a lot of pride in providing our guests with a friendly and effective service for everyone, unfortunately it seems like we fell short on this this time around.

I would really appreciate it if you could get back to my so we can discuss the details of your recent visit. If you’d be so kind to contact me on feedback@cubitthouse.co.uk would be great. Thanks in Advance
