Perhaps the best place for a first date in London. Busy and buzzing so you head to the bar for fantastic cocktails and great banter. The lobster is delicious and the obvious choice - those of you who order burgers need shooting I tell you! £20. Absolute bargain. We shared one between us as we had filled up on cocktails already. It's beautifully cooked with a delicious salad and chips cooked to sheer crispy but melt in the middle perfection. What better way to get over the awkwardness of a first date and the potential run out of conversation pitholes than by diving into a lobster. You can play all damsel in distress or get in and get grubby. Either way it's a make or break.
Delicious food. Fabulous atmosphere. I'm going back and raving about it to all my friends.

Oh yes - technically they did forget to put our order in but when they realised after a bit of a nudge from my date, we were treated to free cocktails. Customer service I tell you. And a tour of the lobster tanks... not for the faint hearted who don't like to see their food alive.

My fourth visit to this trendsetting venture. Food is good but no better - I've tried the entire menu ie both dishes. It all goes wrong when you arrive and are told that the wait for to be seated would be "over two hours" hmmm... so let's repair to the bar.
Irritable girl at front of house says that you can't go to thebar..it's full! So I wait a bit, await a gap at at bar and order drinks. Same girl then shouts that she had removed us from the list for a table...full volume in front of diners. Oh dear.
A genuinely fab idea for a restaurant, but all the very fine hard work put in by kitchen, waiting and barstaff is being let down by the customer prevention police on the door. Shame really, as a local I was looking forward to being a regular.

With only three dishes on the menu....Lobster, Burger or Lobster Roll served with generous sides of chips and salad all priced at £20 you cannot go wrong.....the Lobster was fresh, cooked to perfection and delicious! the Burger was huge and one of the best we have ever tasted! A huge range of drinks...definitely where they make the money from!
The service is friendly and relaxed...there is no stuffy snooty atmosphere here, there is a loud and fun vibe to the place!
You can't make a reservation so it's bets to get there as early as possible in the evening or prepare yourself for lengthy wait.....a wait that is well worth it!!!

But that's how it's set up at this place. Pleasantly surprised at size of lobster for £20. The place was buzzing. Can't reserve beforehand so had an acceptable 25 minute wait at the bar before being shown to the table table. Grilled lobster option with lemon and garlic dip was excellent. The comparatively small lobster sandwich a bit disappointing, the burger excellent - all dishes served with salad and fries. Cheeky 12.5% service added to the bill so modest lunch with one bottle of wine (no starters) basic desserts served in cardboard containers and coffee for three comes out in excess of £120; welcome to Mayfair, however, will be back again soon.

Visited last night soon after 7 to be informed there were no tables and we could add our name to the list. They suggested a 2 hour wait and they would call us . After 2 and a hf hours we wandered back and asked to wait at bar. Just as we were about to leave they found us a table!

Excellent and friendly service but perhaps the chefs were tired. Both our burgers had well overlooked bacon and the chips are no better than McDonalds.

I think people will tire of this v quickly.
