We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and do find it hard to fault. Apex are fast becoming our preferred hotel chain, when budget allows, after visiting in both London and Edinburgh.

Given that standards are high across the board, what sets the different hotels apart are the locations and the Apex Temple Court is one of our favourites. Nestled within a space which separates the convenience and industry of Fleet street and the old world charm of the historic Temple district with its narrow cobbled paths and pop up champagne bars.

As far as location goes, its hard to beat. Being on Fleet street means youre on one of the main tourist thoroughfares with buses passing your front door none stop. The river is a short walk through the maze of Temples roads as is the Tube station with access to the District line giving you an easy route to Victoria (for Wicked and Hamilton theaters) and Kew Gardens beyond. If you turn right out of the front door you have St Paul's Cathedral, turn left and you're on the West End in moments.

Check in (once we found the temporary entrance) was efficient and friendly. All communal areas spotlessly clean and contemporary with a couple of drink/dining choices inside and out.

Our room, whilst being beautifully clean, well appointed and of a decent size, was decidedly standard. Albeit advertised as such, given the luxury branding and the slightly elevated tariff, we expected something a little more. The city room situated opposite an office suite meant there was no view to speak off but there was no noise pollution what so ever. Also, a special mention should be given to the superb air conditioning unit which was an absolute blessing during the record breaking summer of '18. Given what we observed within the hotel i'm certain the Deluxe rooms and suites they offer with access to the CLUB lounge will have that WOW factor and we would probably return when we are able to upgrade to this level.

For me personally, a bit of personality was lacking which is the only thing preventing me from giving top marks. I guess its to be expected when booking the cheapest room in a chain hotel but if your'e looking for a executive hotel, are willing to pay a little extra for the brand name which guarantees you quality and have a thing for rubber ducks, then look no further.

Room Tip: Standard rooms perfectly satisfactory but would absolutely return to try the Suites if budget ever allows.

My ideal hotel is one with a fantastically comfortable bed and fab modern bathroom, and great shower. This hotel has this - it is quiet even though off Fleet St and the recent modernisation is good and nearly complete. Frankly if I could have stolen the bed I would have!!
Good helpful staff and good selection at breakfast.
What’s to dislike?!
Of and the duck in the bath - neat!!

Stayed here to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Our Junior suite room was beautiful. Very quite at night - no noise from corridor or adjoining rooms. Prices in bar very reasonable (for London). Breakfast very good. Great location. Will definitely stay again. Thanks to the management and staff for making our anniversary so memorable.

Just returned from weekend, third visit, our deluxe room was immaculate, separate seating area two tv’s massive bathroom with large walk in shower and a very large free standing bath, complimented with elemis toiletries. View was not brilliant but room was quiet. Access to club lounge, nibbles, cakes sandwiches in afternoon, wine, beer etc. Continental breakfast ranging from cereals fruit, pastries, yoghurts, smoked salmon and meats, juice, water, hot beverages all in a pleasant peaceful environment. Convent garden fifteen minute walk away. All staff very friendly and pleasant, only niggle the cleaner hassled us on checkout day at about 9.30 and again in corridor, checkout is at 12 and we wanted to have a stroll before leaving, we did inform the desk and the young lady who checked us out was very apologetic. A fabulous hotel the best by far in area, hope to return soon, thank you Apex for a lovely weekend.

Room Tip: Deluxe room or above as get club lounge access but all our nice
