“More than enough room in the Wardrobe!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2012

A last minute 3 day trip to London for my family of 5 and we found The Kings Wardrobe! We booked their 2 bedroom apartment with extra bed for my youngest son. Plenty of space, master en-suite, another double, bathroom, kitchen, lounge-diner with all mod cons. A couple of small issues, no free wi-fi disappointing for kids with Ipods. We stay in A3.7 on 3rd floor, the apartment was clean and spaceous but very warm with seemingly no way of cooling unless you opened the windows. This was fine until you wanted to sleep. The location is really close to St. Pauls which is fabulous for getting about but you hear the bells more throughout the night if you have the windows ajar. 3 mins walk to the tube station, a few nice family restaurants close by too if you don't want to go far, like Pizza Express and so on. I would recommend - we also managed to get a discount rate and only booked 5 days before travelling! Great find and would definitely use again. Price was great for 2 nights for 5 compared to any London hotel which also wouldn't give you the space and freedom of an apartment.

We have 2 girls around 10 and 12 so we needed an apartment style accommodation or the alternative which is 2 hotel rooms. My wife sourced numerous options and of course used Trip Advisor for her checks.

We were very happy with the King's Wardrobe apartments. They met all our needs and even provided the kids with some Easter eggs during our stay. There are a couple of nice pubs near by so you can easily duck for a pint at night. The surrounding area is great, especially if you don't mind listening to the lively bells of St Paul's Cathedral.

There are a number of grocery shops near by like Mark's and Spencer and Tesco so you can buy your breakfast etc. The apartment has a good kitchen so we didn't mind preparing the odd meal for the girls.

I would book this apartment again for my holidays. If you intend to do the same the only drawback is getting your taxi driver to get you there. Give them as many instructions about the location as possible since it's in one of the lane ways.

My summary is that it's good affordable accommodation for a family or those that don't like big hotels.

Stayed here on business with a colleague in a two bedroom appartment. The price was cheaper than two seperate rooms at other business hotels in the area.

We had two bedrooms, one en-suite, one family bathroom and a small kitchen and large lounge/diner. Another collegue who unexpectadly had to stay was put up in a temporary bed in the lounge at short notice which was great service.

The location is central - just opposite St Pauls - and quiet but safe.

Room Tip: Some of the appartments have just been refurbished - ask when you book. I stayed in an older appart...

Position, position, position. A perfect place to stay for your London trip. Not only can you walk to many attractions such as Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe and London Dungeon, you are only minutes from the Tube, and many restaurants and pubs.
Quiet area, busy by day, quiet at night, but nice and safe.
24 hour concierge, which is a bonus.
We stayed in a 2 room apartment for 11 nights. Good sized kitchen and lounge but small bedrooms.
A tad warm at night and no way to cool the apartment and this was the middle of winter. We had to sleep with the window open and the noise from St Pauls chimes and early morning garbage collection did make sleep hard.
Also lots of light and no block out curtains.
I would stay here again, it was clean, friendly and convenient.

We came to London from Guernsey to see the 'Lion KIng' for my husbands 70th birthday and met our son and girlfriend who had travelled down from Leeds at the Kings Wardrobe Apartments. We were very pleased with our 2 bed, 2 bath apartment which had every thing we could wish for and was nice and spacious while being right by St Paul's so was in walking distance of lots of places. Would deff stay there again as we all loved it.
