Description: Oozing ultra-sleek Scandinavian chic, Sticks'n'Sushi is one of Wimbledon's most fashionable and popular eateries. With the original Sticks'n'Sushi site in Copenhagen, this cutting-edge concept combines the best in Japanese and Nordic dining, with a typically slick dining room featuring suspended art pieces, clean angles and a stony grey colour palette. As its name suggests, the Sticks'n'Sushi menu features a mix of freshly-crafted sushi and sizzling yakitori sticks - loaded with chicken, red meat and vegetables - served straight from the grill.

I originally became familiar with S&S in Copenhagen and it quickly became one of my favorite stops there. Having a couple of branches here in London area is wonderful. Same outstanding service with young, cheerful and friendly staff, great menu choices as well as beers and sake varieties make this a solid choice. On the main high street in WImbleton. The set menu choices are excellent and offer great value compared to ordering ala carte -- which is also fine. Great choices of sushi and yakitori. Authentic to Japan -- you will not be disappointed with this as a choice for lunch or dinner.

Otherwise known as Fish on Grass, a trendy and delightful place - ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of other chains and great for a healthy treat.
Friendly staff and great service - we were there mid-afternoon and catching a late lunch midweek but I would go again with friends, family and even solo.
The waiter recommended the following which I would also recommend:
Ebi Bites £7.50, Hotate Kataifi £9.50, Sasami chilli £5, Spicy Guy Filet £4, Gindara no miso £8. Fantastic to have something different and tasty.

Excellent again and really the only place in Wimbledon you can rely on consistently high quality. The tuna nigiri, coal crab and ceviche rolls are particularly good.

We had dinner here on Saturday night as we were staying in Wimbledon on business. The restaurant was very busy but we managed to get a small table close to the bar which we were fine about as we were not expecting them to be able to squeeze us in.
The decor is so cool, I loved it and the atmosphere was really great with brilliant music in the background and everyone chatting and having a good time by the looks of things. Our waiter came and took our drinks orders which arrived quick enough. Then our food orders were taken but they somehow got lost so we ended up waiting for over an hour for our food. Usually this would have really annoyed me but we were too busy talking we didn't noticed until we spotted a table who had arrived after us getting their food first. A waiter noticed this and came straight over to apologise and assured us that our food would be with us shortly, which it was. They also said that our first round of drinks was on the house because of this, which was nice of them. We both had a sushi platter which were divine! Seriously some of the best sushi I have ever had. We ordered a second round of drinks which was mixed up but was soon rectified by the same waiter who had noticed the delay with our food.
I think our waited was having a bad night but all in all a great experience and I will definitely be back.

We were fans of this place when it first opened, and we even had a special occasion dinner there 3 years ago.

However, during our visit last night, we were unlucky with bad service. One example is that we observed that other people were being offered hot towels soon after being seated without having to ask. When I did finally ask (nearly 30 minutes after we were seated), I was told that they were on the way, as though this hadn't been overlooked, but we still felt that we had been overlooked.

More importantly is the fact we had extra items added to the bill that we did not order.

This is the second time in a row in recent months that our bill was bumped up in error by items that we didn't order. Again when we pointed this out, we were told that the server had only just realised the error as well. She said that she was *just about to tell us* and have it fixed, which again we did not believe.

Fool me twice with attempts to overcharge us, so we will not be returning to Sticks and Sushi. The trust has been irrevocably lost.

Be advised if you do visit this place to review your bill very carefully.
