“Fabulous garden flat!”
Reviewed September 21, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This clean apt had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed and a great hot shower. We appreciated the room to spread out, including the lovely garden area and the office space where we could set up the laptop and plan each day's activities. The apt is as advertised: We made use of the hair dryer, iron and board, TV, WiFi, and the ample kitchen supplies. There were even umbrellas at the front door! Having brought the wrong adapters from the US, we did find some just up the block at an electronics store. The neighborhood is quiet, yet the tube station, grocery stores, and numerous restaurants/pubs are conveniently close by. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

“Absolutely blissful!”
Reviewed June 9, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Booking was simple and the owner made it super smooth. The apartment is delightful, offering every little detail one would need. Well equipped throughout. Also touches of special attention. The garden is perfect for a leisurely smoke and cup of tea.
Very relaxed atmosphere; cosy, tasteful decor, and spotlessly clean.
The location is boho chic and conveniently close to the buses, tube, farmers market, grocery stores, restaurants and Portobello Road.
We will be back again for sure.

“Perfect place.”
Reviewed April 23, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Fantastic apartment with Portobello road on the doorstep. It is clean, light, nicely furnished, and the perfect size for two people. It is quiet and safe, and as said before located on the basement with few steps down. Excellent in every respect with all the facilities needed to ensure a comfortable stay. It is a cozy house, giving you a home away from home feeling. Tube station, bus stop, local shops, restaurants and Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores just around the corner. Booking was easy and it is a good value for money

“Pretty as a picture, just like the home I want to own ;)”
Reviewed January 7, 2015 for a stay in December 2014

I stayed in this BEAUTIFUL APPARTMENT in a FANTASTIC location within a 200mtr walk from Ladbroke Grove Tube Station.
Lorna is the owner and extremely helpful with everything.
No question was too many, too difficult or too hard and the directions provided on how to get to the property using public transport which seemed - TOO EASY TO BE TRUE, were !
I arrived at dusk, never been to London before. Lorna told me which station to get off at in London as I was arriving by Train from Edinburgh and which line to connect to.

This is what I'm talking about :- (I've deliberately blanked out a few things)

If you arrive by tube (Ladbroke Grove Hammersmith & City Line is only a couple of hundred yards away) come out of the tube station and turn left. Walk to the first corner, cross Ladbroke Grove at the Zebra Crossing and XXXXXXXXX XXXXXXX is straight ahead. Number XX is about XX yards down on the right. Go down the steps at the front of the house (if it is dark there is an outside light switch to the left of the front door)
.
I found this first go & I have no sense of direction. With those directions you would have to try real hard to get it wrong. I actually laughed out loud once I had the key in the front door - IT WAS SO EASY !
.
When I first opened the door, I actually teared up when I saw inside.
It was just so BEAUTIFUL, I couldn't believe I was spending a week here. It was just like the pictures on Trip advisor Website only better. We all know the camera doesn't capture what the eyes sees and in this case WOW what a BEAUTIFUL surprise.

The bed was BEAUTIFUL almost to good to sleep in, very comfortable, beautiful good quality WHITE sheets and everything was CLEAN / SPOTLESS / IMMACULATE !!!
.
The Bathroom with its heated floor and towel rack, beautifully decorated and appointed Lounge room, Kitchen with everything you could possibly need, Hallway, office with the ability to receive incoming calls; loved the dinning room, the garden EVERYTHING, ALL OF IT WAS JUST PERFECT !
It was just like HOME - everything you could ask for and more right down to the pretty soap in the bathroom.
I'm a music lover and there is a great selection of CD's to listen to as well as the local radio stations of course. (there was also a TV but I didn't turn it on, I don't watch TV on holiday)
Sainsbury's (grocery store) literally around the corner to buy supplies if you didn't want to go out for dinner and to be honest after 10hrs+ of sightseeing/touring every day (7days) it was WONDERFUL to come home to that BEAUTIFUL serene flat, sit & listen to music and relax with a home cooked (Sainsbury's) meal, fresh salad, fresh bread with a good Merlot.
Another plus for me "Washing Machine & Dryer" - MUST HAVE CONVENIENCES !
.
I will be returning to London in 2015 and I will be staying at this
'LOVELY ONE BEDROOM GARDEN FLAT"
.
It is worth every GPB

Liked best: EVERYTHING - Location, comfort, facilities
Liked least: The flat is a basement flat - NOT THAT THAT WAS A PROBLEM FOR ME - an older person might have trouble carring their bags down the steps

“Absolutely wonderful place to stay"”

This was just the most wonderful place for us,( mature age couple) at the end of a long 6 week jaunt around England,Ireland and before heading off to Paris. The owner had been extremely helpful answering any questions we had prior to our arrival. We didn't find the few steps down to the spotless apartment any problem at all. The garden of the unit was amazing as were all the facilities. We did feel like it was the perfect home away from home. The Tube was very close, as were supermarkets...and of course the Portabello Market was just over the back. There was no noise at all and the unit was warm and cosy.Only problem writing such a review is that it may not be available when we want to use it again in the future..which we certainly will!
