Walking distance to Holborn tube station which connects to 3 major Underground lanes. A relatively quiet street close to two parks. Staff at the hotel is friendly. My room (202) was quite big for London. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Staff friendly and looked after our cases. Only quibble was the 'public' toilet - it didn't flush properly. We had a basement room which was large. Just be aware you get the low level noise of the undersground. But the bed was comfy.

This small hotel located just one block away from the British Museum and Russell Square and a five minute walk to the Hobron "Tube" station proved to be an excellent choice for my wife and I. Our room was large, nicely decored, comfortable and with a large modern bathroom. The room also had a small refrigerator and micro wave oven, which we did not use. The only slight negative was that our assigned room (#1) was located on the ground floor street side. The street traffic noise was not a problem with the windows closed, but in summer months this may be a problem, as the hotel is not air conditioned. Also the night window curtains had to closed at all times for privacy and to shield this room from the hotel exterior illumination lighting. Thus a court side or upper room might be preferred. Our included continental breakfast was quite good. All in all, we very much liked this hotel and would recommend it to other London visitors.

Room Tip: See above comments above.

The Hotel is well situated for sightseeing, around the corner from the British Museum and walking distance to all the theatres. We walked everywhere and Lecester square only took us 20min, I much rather travel above ground and see and hear all the sights and sounds of a city.

The room was clean and large, everything provided including a microwave oven and fridge as well as the standard tea making facilities.

Breakfast on the other hand is in the conservatory, which is cramped. Hot breakfast is delivered (never found out where but as the place has no kitchen I assume from another hotel). This is overpriced and I assume priced to stop guests requesting it as it was clear the hotel has not got the room or the facilities to provide breakfast.

Where I would recommend the hotel I would also advice to skip breakfast, the location allows for you to go and explore and find more value for money and I’m sure a better breakfast elsewhere.

Room Tip: Dont bother with breakfast, over priced.

Good location, great room and very quiet, will stay again. The room was very clean and well decorated, as were the corridors, I don't understand the previous negative reviews. They looked after our luggage after check-out until late afternoon. Breakfast prices were OTT, but plenty of good value options near by or get your own bits from Sainsburys using the kitchenette.

We Booked a Deluxe suite and were very disappointed at the room-cramped,small could not open drawers on unit at end of bed,not at all as described or shown on advertising photos. Room very shabby, bad yellow stains on ceiling, carpet stained and worn, bathroom smelt very fusty and bath screen not clean. Breakfast on open plates with flies on.Most definately not a luxury hotel extremely disappointed.Management not even answered our letter of complaint.Look for another hotel in same area.

- Spacious room

Cons
