What an absolute gem of a museum. It is so delightful to walk around in this beautiful house with the many paintings of well known and less known subjects and artists represented . The porcelain collection is astounding and the dining table leaves you breathless with the many silver ornaments exhibited. It’s a treasure trove of history and definitely worth a visit.

We had a superb visit here . The building itself is hugely impressive sitting at it's vantage point at Hyde park Corner . Very easy to reach on the tube (station right next door) or by bus.
Very friendly and informative guides greet you at the door . I felt immediately welcome . There are an enormous number of art works housed here . It's a very valuable collection of mostly European master painters. One could happily while away an entire afternoon here .Our visit was punctuated by two 15 minute talks , which were very interesting and added to our enjoyment of the visit . There is also a free audio guide . Even though we were there in mid August it was buzzing but by no means crowded. I think it is mostly enjoyed by adults , not much here for families .

Thank you so much for a wonderful review. We try to give every visitor a warm visit and a chance to talk to our stewards. We're especially pleased you got to enjoy both talks alongside the multi-media guides, I'll make sure the relevant team members see you review.

Many thanks again.

First time visit on a wet afternoon. Not crowded so just right. Very good welcome and initial guidance. Self guiding devices take you round and were generally good but occasionally were difficult to get on to the information wanted but otherwise the commentaries were clear and there were excellent pictures which were very helpful.
The stairs were quite steep but we found out later having gone down to the basement that there was a lift which would have helped us. Most of the rooms had seats that visitors could sit on and take in the surroundings. No teas or refreshments available.

Fantastic place to take a visit, we were there for four hours and could probably have stayed longer, its quite amazing right across from Hyde Park and the glorious paintings, silver, sculptures, and even a death mask of Napoleon. Audi was fantastic and can't say anything negative, its well worth a visit, or two or perhaps even three

It is a very grand house befitting a national hero. There are several rooms over 2 floors.
Lots of art works. The dining room is fully set up for a banquet.
There is a section for the military items.
A free audio guide is available. Introductory talks are given at certain times.
Room attendants were friendly and helpful.
