“Prime location for sightseeing.”

Our family of four recently returned from a trip to London. We stayed in this quaint town house in Pimlico. The location was wonderful. Easy walking distance to Parliament, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace as well as many other must see landmarks. Victoria station is close by, should you want to use the tube/train. We used uber to get to other locations that were too far to easily walk (Tate Modern and Wimbledon). We enjoyed visiting several of the neighborhood's bakeries and restaurants.
As for the town house, it was modern and well equipped. The scale of the home is smaller than what we are used to in the USA but it was cozy and efficient. Our two teenagers appreciated having their own rooms. We enjoyed congregating in the comfortable downstairs living area after busy days of sightseeing.
Be aware that the home is very quiet during the week but it is located close to a bar which did have some noise on the weekend. In addition, neighbors were renovating so there was a bit of banging during the day. These two points are why I am scoring it as "very good" rather than "excellent".
All in all we had a great stay in this lovely town home.

“Great location, immaculate property, washing machine was nice perk”

This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom property was an easy 1-1/2 block walk from the Pimlico Underground station on the Victoria line in London's Zone One (central London). It was an easy 10-25 minute tube ride froy-m virtually every major attraction we went to on our first family visit to London. Couldn't have been easier!

The flat is in a complex of what we would call rowhouse, or townhouse, style dwellings here in Philadelphia (no neighbors underneath or over our flat). From the street, there are approx. 8-10 steps to a locked gate. When you go through the gate, there is a very spacious patio with a wood (teak?) table and chairs (not of too much use in March, but great if you are going in warmer months). THere are double locks on the front door. The neighborhood felt so safe that never once did we have a security concern, even when coming home as late as 10 pm.

Within 5 blocks of the flat, there are at least 3 bakeries/cafes that we found, along with a fantastic Turkish restaurant, great pubs, pizza... We ate in the neighborhood every night. This was a neighborhood for residents, not a tourist location, so prices were not inflated. Two blocks up the street, there is a pedestrian only block with several booths selling fresh produce, falafel, shish kebabs, etc, and a great bread bakery, all open approx. 8 am - 5 pm. There are several convenience markets nearby, and a larger supermarket about 5-6 blocks away. There was some isolated street noise at night, as you would expect (the 2 bedrooms on the top floor have windows facing the street), but really quite minimal by city standards for the most part (we did not open the windows).

Inside the flat, the accommodations are all clearly new, done in "Ikea style modern." The flat has 4 half levels (what we would call a split level home in the US), with the kitchen and a half bathroom (toilet, sink) on the main level; the family/TV room 6+ steps down; our bedroom and full bath, plus another shower, 6+ steps up; and 2 more bedrooms on the highest level. All of the bedrooms are carpeted and all had closet space and bureaus, so we had enough storage for the week.

In the kitchen, the appliances are all Bosch. The combination washer/dryer unit is small by U.S. standards. It takes about an hour (?) to do a small load of wash. The dryer is very hot if you use the regular setting, which I don't recommend - best to use the delicate setting, or air dry delicate clothes, as we learned the hard way (shrunk 2 pairs of my daughter's jeans). The flat stove top - called a hob, as I discovered - has 4 burners. Unlike all of the stoves I have used here in the US, you have to turn it on with a separate on/off button (hard to see, since the top is all black glass and the commands are electronically embedded). Once you find that button, it's easy. Microwave was also a bit different, but we had no trouble using it. The 2 built-in USB ports in the kitchen were a wonderful bonus - made it really easy for us to charge our cell phones and iPad.

The flat owner, Mark, was extremely responsive any time we asked him a question. This is an extremely well maintained property. You can't go wrong renting here.

Our host, Mark, was a welcome sight after a 24hr trip from Australia. He showed us around the wonderfully appointed and warm (it was 3 degrees in london at the time) apartment and also gave us some very handy hints about the local area (the number 24 bus that takes you on a perfect tourist tour from Westminster and through the West End - Buses can often be a daunting task when in a foreign city, but this little hint was a lifesaver. Mark and I corresponded quite a bit prior to the trip as I picked his brains about various things in London - he was so very accommodating and helpful which made us all feel very confident that this apartment would live up to expectations. The handy maps as art on the wall in the kitchen came in useful for getting ones bearings. The apartment was incredibly well maintained and had everything one would need and more. The showers were great, water hot!, heated towel rails warmed all out towels. The internet was good. Really faultless from start to finish . London was mad , hectic and busy (millions of European tourists due to the low pound - so I was told) so to be able to get away from the busy touristy spots into a quiet haven was really wonderful. Some great pubs and restaurants close by so no need to fight the crowds in Covent Garden for a table at an overpriced tourist laden eatery - we headed home and enjoyed our "local" spots. The location was superb , near the tube, bus stops, only 10 mins walk to Victoria station and 20 mins walk to Big Ben - need i say more. This was a superb spot and I would not hesitate to go back.

okay let's start with the trip from the airport, a long ride in the height of rush hour traffic (arr at 3:30pm) However Mark was patient and waited for our arrival. The house was warm and welcoming. We were 4 adult women and the home fit us perfectly. more than enough beds. We were a 5 minute walk from the train(subway) which we utilized. there's a pub on the corner and a really nice restaurant across from the train station (subway) . Plenty of places to eat within a five or ten minute walk. The major store (grocery) was a fifteen minute walk and Mark had bags available to carry our purchases. if you have too many to carry call uber::) Our subway line was a direct line into Pancras train station (15 minutes) which we used to visit Paris , a two hour ride. We were lucky enough to have a good navigator of the subway lines and was able to get to all the sights in London with no issues. Everything is close to the subway so we were all over the place. In the evenings it was nice to come home to a warm and welcoming flat. oh yeah the pubs and restaurants in the neighborhood closed by ten or eleven so if you are out and about in say Trafalgar square or picidilly etc you should eat before your return home. Nice home, Nice owner, quiet neighborhood, subway 5min walk, taxi 2min walk, grocery store 15 min walk, suggestion get a 7day oyster card for the subway. I am coming back the end of the summer so don't book those days please LOL

“Great townhouse, great location”
Reviewed November 9, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I treated myself to a trip to London with my family for by 50th birthday. Wife, 18 year old and 11 year old son, and 15 year old daughter. Needless to say we needed the space. This house was fantastic. Everyone had their own room (boys shared), the modern kitchen and the very trendy family room was a lot of space to spread out.
The location was great. 10 min walk to Parliament, 7 min to Victoria station and 2 min walk to Pimlico station.
The owner was very friendly. Reviewed the house with us as well as the highlights of London. The kids had never been to London so we did the touristy things for them.
I would come here again!

“Great location and accomodation for central London visit”
Reviewed November 8, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Just a few minutes walk to Westminster and the London parks, close to the river and a couple of minutes from Pimlico tube station. Lots of local restaurant choices and a number of groceries and cafes. Furniture and fixtures are modern, comfortable and in very good condition. Kitchen is particularly well kitted out. A perfect spot for my family's 4 day stay in London.
