We booked a table for 2 on a Tuesday evening having heard about The Palomar & we were really looking forward to it. The food was delicious but very mean portions. The tables are too small and the restaurant area is very claustrophobic, the noise levels subsequently get very high so if you are remotely hard of hearing I would avoid going here. Your wine is taken away by the waiter who tops you up which we found really annoying - waiting to have a glass filled and being continually interrupted. There are so many miserably, arrogant staff, rushing you along and not a smile in the room. Over £120 spent in a hour and we needed to find a quiet bar to unwind! Try Temper in Soho....

We called to reserve a table for lunch for a group of 10 people. They gave us a really hard time, explaining that groups larger than 6 were not accepted. After begging them, we we "allowed" to be 7 people, but only at one specific time and only if we put down a deposit of 20 pounds per person. Okay fine.
on the day of the lunch, we were very impressed with the menu. Everything sounded delicious! We ordered 1 or 2 plates per person and the waitress suggested wed order more because the portions are very small. If the people at the restaurant tell you that, you KNOW it will be a small portion..... She then said that the plates were supposed to be for sharing, so we would need more. Well.... there were not, because they were VERY VERY small. A "main dish" would cost up to 15 pounds but would not feed one person (even with a starter dish), let alone be enough for sharing with others..... I ordered the scallops with potatoes for 15 pounds. It was, in all fairness, absolutely delicious, BUT 3 pieces of scallops and maybe 2 small potatoes. The hot sauce starter dish cost around 5 pound, without including anything to dip (pita bread, maybe).
That is extremely overprized even for a fancy London restaurant....
Also: the toilet paper ran out in the ladies room.... seriously?

I heard many times about this place but I never get a chance to get there because of queue but after trying their food I think you should join the queue and try their dishes.

I strongly suggest that to try chicken liver.

Delicious food and very good atmosphere

The food was genuinely very good. Each plate is actually a tapas plate (for 1), which is not clearly stated on the menu beforehand. Therefore, I would say overpriced for what you get, even if the food was lovely, when compared with other restaurants of equivalent quality.
